ਮੌਰਫ਼ਾ ਟਿਪੀਕਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਰਫ਼ਾ ਕਾਰਬੋਨਾਰੀਆ, ਡੱਬ-ਖੜੱਬੇ ਭੰਬਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਰੂਪ ਜੋ ਇੱਕੋ ਰੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਹਨ। ਫਿੱਕੇ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਮੌਰਫ਼ਾ ਟਿਪੀਕਾ (ਸੱਕ ਦੇ ਦਾਗ਼ ਥੱਲੇ) ਇਸ ਦੂਸ਼ਣ ਵਿਹੂਣੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਭਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਹਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਛਾਂਟ ਜਾਂ ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਚੋਣ ਇੱਕ ਦਰਜੇਵਾਰ ਜਾਂ ਸਿਲਸਿਲੇਵਾਰ ਅਮਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰਾਸਤੀ ਲੱਛਣਾਂ ਦੇ, ਵਾਤਵਰਨ ਨਾਲ਼ ਮੇਲ-ਮਿਲਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲ਼ੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਖੋ-ਵੱਖ ਸੰਤਾਨ-ਪੈਸਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈਂਦੇ, ਅਸਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਅਬਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਰਾਸਤਯੋਗ ਜੀਵ-ਲੱਛਣ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਚੱਲਤ/ਆਮ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਘੱਟ। ਇਹ ਵਿਕਾਸਵਾਦ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮੁੱਖ ਤਰੀਕਾ ਹੈ। "ਕੁਦਰਤੀ ਛਾਂਟ" ਇਸਤਲਾਹ ਚਾਰਲਸ ਡਾਰਵਿਨ ਨੇ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਇਹਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਉਟੀ ਛਾਂਟ, ਜਿਹਨੂੰ ਅੱਜਕੱਲ੍ਹ ਛਾਂਟਵਾਂ ਪਾਲਣ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੋਂ ਉਲਟ ਦੱਸਣ ਦਾ ਚਾਹਵਾਨ ਸੀ।
