Former Olympic Skateboard Venue to Open as Public Sports Park

TOKYO, Sep 05 (News On Japan) - The Ariake Urban Sports Park, which will open next month at the former Tokyo Olympic skateboarding site, was previewed Thursday ahead of its official opening on October 12.

The park utilizes facilities from the Tokyo Olympics, including the skateboarding venue.

The entire park covers approximately 31,000 square meters, roughly two-thirds the size of Tokyo Dome. In addition to the skateboarding facilities, the park features new additions such as a 3x3 basketball court and a bouldering tower.

Reporter: "Some of the blocks used in the Tokyo Olympic bouldering competition have been incorporated into the facility."

The park is divided into two zones: the "Legacy Zone," which includes the bouldering facilities, and the "Multi-Purpose Zone," which includes outdoor athletic facilities.
