Multistate Tax Commission Counsel Nancy Prosser to Leave Agency

Multistate Tax Commission General Counsel Nancy Prosser will leave the intergovernmental tax agency Sept. 24 after four years as the commission’s top legal officer, she announced Thursday.

During her final weeks at the MTC, Prosser said, she will work with Executive Director Greg Matson for a “smooth transition.”

  • As general counsel, Prosser frequently served as the commission’s primary spokesperson in interagency meetings on critical legal issues facing state revenue departments. She also helped manage the MTC’s three active tax projects focused on uniform rules for taxing complex partnerships, taxing digital products, and developing sourcing regulations for income apportionment purposes. ...
