Release of Fundamental Responsibilities of Recognized Statistical Agencies and Units (October 10, 2024)
New regulations clarifying roles and responsibilities of statistical agencies in the "Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018" were released on October 11, 2024. The regulations that have been under development since the law was enacted will have a significant impact on National Center for Education Statistics operations.

A Look at Early Childhood Program Participation: 2023 (October 10, 2024)
A new report using National Household Education Survey data shows that among children whose parents searched for care, nearly three-quarters (72 percent) reported that they had difficulty finding care, and 11 percent said that they did not find the child care program they wanted. Seventeen percent said that they had no difficulty finding care.
