In particular, this page lists article-count milestones. Recommended ones are 100, 500, 1k, 2k, 5k increments to 20k, 10k increments to 100k, 25k increments to 250k, 50k increments to 500k, and 100k increments to 1000k. Try mixing things up with other milestones, such as active users or new articles per day.

  • The Polish Wikipedia has reached 200,000 articles with Siedlisko
  • The Basque Wikipedia has reached 5,000 articles.
  • The Serbian Wikipedia continues its surge of page creation, reaching 25,000 articles.
  • The Chinese Wikisource has reached 1,500 articles.
  • The Portuguese Wikipedia has reached 100,000 articles. There is an average of 250 new articles per day. There are 38,423 registered users and 46 administrators. The Community has also voted for an official logotype for the celebration, which will replace the Wikipedia logo for 15 days on all pages. The logo can be found at this link.
  • The Wikitsitatnik (Russian Wikiqoute) has reached 1000 articles
  • The Pushto Wikipedia reached 100 articles on this date.

  • The Chinese Wiktionary has reached 15,000 articles.
  • The U.S.P.T.O. grants Wikimedia Foundation Inc., registered status to the Wikipedia, mark which should now be written Wikipedia® when giving notice of this legal status.
