Task/s: import data from simple Wikipedia templates (string values)
Function details: There are several bot requests to import data from simple Wikipedia templates, e.g. Wikidata:Bot_requests#MdEP-ID_.28P1186.29 or Wikidata:Bot_requests#IAAF-ID_.28P1146.29. The bot will extract the data from the Wikipedia templates and insert them to the corresponding items. The touched properties have all the string data type. test edits --Pasleim (talk) 15:48, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Clearly needed. If what you import is simple things like World Athletics athlete ID (P1146), I'd say it can be speedily approved. If you want to import more complex, less not-so-standardized data, I think it would deserve a test run. --Zolo (talk) 09:29, 3 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I will only import simple data, e.g. World Athletics athlete ID (P1146) or MEP directory ID (P1186) which can be easily extracted from Wikipedia articles. The link to my test run is given above. --Pasleim (talk) 13:14, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
