- Nomination statement: (en) I have been serving as a Wikidata administrator since early November. I am also a sysop on frwiki since July 2011. I don't think my contribution here as an admin has been vital for the project, but I do feel I am useful. Moreover, I am planning to increase my contribution as the project grows. As I said on my request for permission, I (still!) can't help with technical matters, but I would love to keep serving as an admin and helping with cleaning up, vandalism, and general maintenance. Skull33 (talk) 13:43, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Althrough some of your admin actions could be better. For example, the AbuseFilter #1 does not match edits where the delete template has been added with an parameter (for example {{delete|reason}}). Personally I would have gone with
added_lines rlike "{{delete\|*.*}}"
instead. I am also wondering why you assigned autopatrol rights to yourself.--Snaevar (talk) 14:29, 4 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]- For your 1# exemple on AbuseFilter, I don't think about the parameters of a template I will fix it. For the 2# exemple I'm auto-assign the autopatrol flag because I want to test how works group in javascript (wgUserGroups) but when I want to remove this right i see that an other sysop do this before. --Jitrixis (talk) 15:45, 5 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose I'm sorry, but you can't just go onto another project and as a bunch of people that have never edited Wikidata before to come vote for your reconfirmation. Aside from that it's not neutrally worded ('It would be nice to have a Catalan speaking administrator' isn't neutral in this context), even if it were neutrally worded, the candidate wouldn't have placed the message there if he thought that people from that project were going to come over and oppose Grondin. He knew what he was trying to do, and I don't personally like it. Sven Manguard Wha? 05:21, 3 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Nomination statement: (en) I've been using my steward's tools here since project's launch, then I ran as a local sysop in order to keep working in ordinary maintenance even when the Wikidata will opt-out from gs. During these months I found, honestly, not so much to do as a local sysop. I often take a look at RfDs etc but I seldom find anything to do since the current level of spam/vandalism is definitely low. So, I'd like to keep my current position because I think I can be useful during next 'data's phase: I have a certain experience in counterspamming and abusefilter's management. But it's up to Wikidata's community to state whatever I can be useful or not. --Vituzzu (talk) 20:17, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Not incredibly active, but has still used the tools a bit and plans on sticking around. Two month gap of activity isn't the nicest thing to look at, but I can sympathize with not liking to jump over people just to delete pages. Ajraddatz (Talk) 00:08, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Nomination statement: (en) I have not been the most active sysop based on the number of edits I have (only somewhat more than 1000). However, I have many logged actions, and intend to remain actively combating vandalism and spam, the latter of which has seemed to increase in the past month or so. I originally ran based on maintenance, and that's what I wish to continue doing. I haven't found much work in terms of content ever since the bots began importing items automatically; in addition a vacation in late December reduced my activity for that period. I really look forward to phase 2, when I believe the project can be truly called Wikidata. I have the technical knowledge to create and manage simple abuse filters, and to manage spam and title blacklists. If re-elected I would continue providing my services and be substantially active. I am available on IRC. J'utilise IRC.--Jasper Deng (talk) 05:12, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Weak opposeThis was a difficult decision, because Jasper Deng is a genuinely nice guy and he is active. Ultimately, however, I am opposing over this. I can't really find fault with his decision to run for Bureaucrat; I was running at the same time. However starting a thread asking if 'crats were needed immediately following all of the 'crat nominations failing because a significant number of people believe that 'crats were not yet needed strikes me as poor form. Additionally, I spoke with Jasper Deng on IRC yesterday about the issue, and while I didn't explicitly ask for one, he offered no defense for his decision to start that thread. Now, I wouldn't be upset with Jasper Deng retaining the tools, and I'm open to being convinced to changing this to neutral, however right now I think that this is the appropriate column for my vote. Sven Manguard Wha? 00:56, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]- Because there was some ambiguity over the consensus that existed over this, I wished to obtain a clarification.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:00, 2 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Not at Érico Wouters in specific, but to the last 10 or so voters in general: After the first half dozen opposes, is it really necessary to continue to pile on the opposes? It didn't have a chance of reconfirmation by the time that the 10th comment came around; I feel further pile on is just disrespectful. Sven Manguard Wha? 02:20, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I agree (also speaking generally, not to Érico). Could we perhaps implement a policy that if an RFA gets 10 opposes without getting any supports, users are asked not to continue opposing unless someone supports it? (Maybe we could also have a rule for a >80% oppose percentage?) Sort of like the convention in high school soccer and lacrosse that you stop shooting once you're a certain number of points ahead. ← My first ever sports analogy on a Wikimedia project, I think. Ugghh. Feels weird. — PinkAmpers&(Je vous invite à me parler) 05:36, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- No thanks to formal policies which might need to be changed as the community changes. I think some common sense is ultimately needed here, even if someone just reminds voters that their votes aren't needed since the request won't pass anyways. Ajraddatz (Talk) 12:22, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I oppose the idea of limiting votes. Every user should have the right to decide at his own whether he votes or not. This should not be controlled by a policy. Regards, Vogone (talk) 16:26, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
