misuse of this property
editThere appears to be a lot of misuse of this property. The description says that instances of one are supposed to be subclasses of instances of the other. But there are quite a few situations like aircraft model (Q15056995) and aircraft family (Q15056993) where the two metaclasses necessarily have disjoint instances. Analysis of metasubclass of links
As of 19 June 2024 there were 64 main and 7 qualifier links for metasubclass of (P2445). All the qualifier links are examples and all of these are either not in Wikidata or are incorrect.
Of the 64 main links, at most 10 were valid. The other ones are incorrect for various reasons. There are some situations where the link appears to be reasonable but turn out to be modelling errors, notably product categories that are also products.

description should be stronger
editThe English description says "relation between two metaclasses: instances of this metaclass are likely to be subclasses of classes that are instances of the target metaclass". Why the "likely"? It seems to me that the instances should all be subclasses of instances of the target if this property is being used correctly. Peter F. Patel-Schneider (talk) 21:11, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
