Vacancy 2: The First Cut
(2008)

A Little Disappointing!
I enjoyed Vacancey , and was looking forward to this movie , Smith the creepy motel owner is the only original, this IS a prequel and is set three years before Vacancey. The acting is passable , but no characters are really developed , the Motel looks totally different and much of the movie is shot outside of it , we have none of the excitement of the underground tunnels , or people hiding in the room , so it all becomes a little like a Friday The Thirteenth stalker (but not nearly as good). The ending was silly and not at all believable , and i fear that another movie will spin off this which will be a big mistake.

If you enjoyed Vacancey ,give it a go , but don't expect too much!.

House
(2008)

Not Bad!
I quite enjoyed this movie , the acting was passable and i found the 'House' or Hotel in which most of it was set old and creepy , with the underground passages , it added a nice touch. Although a lot of people watching will see whats coming with the back stories it still made this movie more than just a 'Haunted House' horror. You got to see the four main characters faults and 'sins'i don't know what all the fuss about it being classed as a Christian movie is about , as it really isn't if a movie has evil and the Devil then you are gonna get the Good v Evil sin against the lord sort of thing , all in all i think if you like a thriller and a bit of fun , give it a look , i liked the ending it has been done before( what hasn't )but it still gives the movie a little more style.

Botched
(2007)

Unexpected , in a good way !
I thought this movie would be a Thriller/ Gangster flick , it started off that way and i though seems OK. I spotted Sean Pertwee as a Russian , and it grabbed my attention . The movie then started to change, Steven Doriff seemed serious ,as everyone did , then the humour came in , and once the film moves to Russia anything goes , and it does . It was Fresh, Funny , Gory in places and completely unexpected . I left the movie thinking "What the Hell" Laughing to myself , the movie was so different you have to see it , you just won't see whats coming !. I had to tell everyone about it without going into what actually happens { which is very difficult as you can imagine }.

Captivity
(2007)

Good Horror Gore!
I have heard a lot of bad press about Captivity , but i did enjoy it. As a Horror Fan anyway , i like to see things a little different and this was. Some will compare it to Saw mainly , as it does have quite graphic Gore scenes, it is well acted , dark and disturbing , and there are a couple of little twists in there too. Definitely for Hostel and Saw fans , if you've a ticklish stomach leave well alone. The story centre's around a young model Jennifer played by Elisha Cuthbert , she is beautiful and appears to have everything she wants, one day she awakes to find herself being kept captive , she doesn't know why , or by who , she then undergos mental and physical torture trying to survive an unseen enemy.
