As soon as I saw the previews.
I also find that foreign films tell these stories the best. Nothing was over explained because in the mindset of the two young main characters; it would have made little difference. The unspoken forced boundaries forced suddenly on something pure and definite. How quickly something can be broken, slowly healed, scarred yet continue forward. It was written beautifully but will be one of those films I will only watch once. The performances were natural and I felt as if I was watching a documentary. I look forward to seeing more from the writers and directors as well as young actors. Definitely watch.

The Silence
(2019)

That was the end?
This was the worst yet for this type of themed horror. Just when the stakes were actually getting somewhere the movie ends. I am getting really tired of the voice over as well. Just tell the story with good writing.

Lez Bomb
(2018)

Gave me a headache
This should have been a short film. I understand the importance of coming out and the chaos that it could ensue to family ties, but this could have been way less dramatic.

I actually didn't finish and just sat in silence so I could enjoy th quiet.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
(2018)

A bit underwhelmed
I was hoping for a bit more emotion. I felt that so much was stifled and a lot of the plot seems either irratic, sporadic or just misplaced. I know this is to set up things for the franchise but I was just hoping for more.
