Dead Boy Detectives
(2024)

Phenomenal
I have to say a friend recommended this series, so glad they did because I have to express that everything about this series is brilliant! So brilliant.

Acting wise - the acting is absolutely outstanding - I additionally loved the performances from George Rexstrew, Jen Lyon, Ruth Connell, and a massive shout out to Yuyu Kitamura's one liners that at times made me laugh out loud, but in all reality all actors were extra talented.

The story, the affects was divinely played out to the point where it made me want to binge watch the entire series in 3 days 😂...nevertheless a absolutely outstanding series, I pray to Netflix most nights since watching this that they do not cancel it and make a series 2. One hopes.

Nip/Tuck
(2003)

Tremendous Series!
Just start watching this in 2024 in reality this came out in the early 2000's, how did I miss this? The show is such a great series. I binged the entire series in the space of a couple of months back in the day when season episodes were 16+.

Anyways I digress, this is a must watch, the acting from all actors is phenomenal, even the special effects is brilliantly realistic especially for the decade of early 2000's.

The only negative thing I have is series 5 & 6 aren't very entertaining as the first 4. You can see why it ended after the 5 & 6 season. Season 3 is the best in my eyes.

Nevertheless it's still well worth a watch.

Madame Web
(2024)

Absolutely terrible!
Blimey, I can't express to you the disappointment at how awful this movie is. I watched this for 45 minutes until I turned it off. 45 minutes I will never get back. Terrible!

One thing I have to applaud for the contribution to the failure of this movie is Dakota Johnson's nauseating acting, bloody hell she can't act.

The storyline of it all it's all hazed & quite tedious if I'm honest, which was one of the reasons I turned it off. I have to say this is the worst marvel film I've partially watched.

Overall I'd highly recommend you avoid this movie & Dakota's awkwardly terrible acting at all costs.

The Mill
(2023)

What a WAIST of time!
I cannot express my utter disappointment with this movie. The ending was utterly atrocious. The acting was also an abomination - a massive shoutout to Lil Rel Howery whose acting skills are deplorable & difficult to watch at times.

A major factor of the failure of this film is the poorly written story. Like the overall outcome and story was pointless to the fact at the ending, I was like what the even happened this didn't make sense??

Overall, the movie is awfully written as well as the acting that contributes in the failure of the movie all thanks to Lil Rel's awful acting skills who tries so hard to be like Kevin Hart. You failed miserably.

Avoid this film at all costs!

Saltburn
(2023)

Outstanding!
Where to begin...this film phenomenal. Brilliant/intelligently played out storyline where to the point the ending is so unexpected, from watching it from the beginning you'd never think that the actual ending of the film would be the climax. Bravo!

A major shoutout to two; Barry Keoghan & Rosamund Pike their performances were outstandingly brilliant. Especially Rosamund's one liners in certain scenes that made me laugh. In addition Barry's performance, which contributed to the success of the storyline and overall movie.

I'd definitely recommend giving this a watch. Acting/Storyline everything about this is superbly done.

Good Girls
(2018)

Brilliant series! 👌🏻
I have express how great this series is, & how disappointed I was to find out that it was cancelled.

Acting is superb, especially the main trio 'Christina Hendricks, Retta & Mae Whitman' the performances are outstandingly done which contributes to the success of the series. In addition to acting, Manny Montana's performance is also phenomenal, his acting was on point. 👌🏻

The story is brilliantly written in my opinion, which sucks you into wanting to watch more which I found to be clever tactic. The only negative thing I can pin point is the fact it was cancelled so prematurely other than that the show is well worth a watch.

Disillusionment!
Bloody hell, this was such disappointment. To be more precise series two. The first series was good, but the second was so far fetched to the point it contradicted the first. I was expecting something great as the first series as I said was good.

The storyline for series 2 was terribly written, cat & mouse chase that ended no where. You's should have just ended with the first series as that was decent. The series finale of series 2 also was so far fetched to the point of Disillusionment!

Acting wise the first series was pretty standard/good acting but the second I have to shout out to Natalie Gumede, whose acting is dreadful. She shouldn't act again. Disastrous.

Dynasty
(2017)

Atrocious
Words cannot express how awful this series is. From the storyline to the worst possible acting. How it went on for 6 seasons is beyond me.

I cannot pin point just one individual for their terrible acting performances as there is a few - especially Sam Underwood & Grant Show I'm cringing at thinking of their embarrassingly terrible performances. Not to mention a major shoutout to Elizabeth Gillies whose acting is utterly cringeworthy to the point where she should just never act again.

The Storyline(s) are so far fetched, which becomes ridiculously unbelievable. Going back to Elizabeth Gillies, bloody hell what an absolute awful awful actress. Elizabeth please don't act again, your acting on this series in general was painful & embarrassing to watch, you contributed to the failure of this series.

The Fall of the House of Usher
(2023)

Astounding Series!
Mike Flanagan is an absolute genius - for the creation of this masterpiece not to mention the 'The Haunting of Hill House' which was also brilliant.

On another note, I have to ebarate how thrillingly amazing this series is, the twists & turns throughout. The storyline is absolute perfection, the acting is astoundingly good. I'd like to give Carla Gugino a massive shout out as her performance is superiorly outstanding which adds much to the success of the entirety of the series.

The second episode, I was hooked I couldn't stop watching a major head turner I felt like the exorcist at the ending. 😂

If you are a lover of a great horror series - stay alert for Mike Flanagan's works. But this is well worth the watch. Bravo!

The Conjuring 2
(2016)

Bloody Brilliant!
I myself is British, & the director got so many things right with this film in relating to accuracy. I grew up on a council estate the same location/setting as this film & its spot on!

In regards to the story, it's a massive positive contribution to the horror genre. I found this so fascinatingly thrilling, it was like James Wan was reeling me in with a hook as I wanted to watch more! Such a talented individual. So many twists & turns. This is utter genius. The acting is brilliant also. I cannot find anything negative about this film.

And the ending was devilishly executed. To the point I was like did that really just happen? Bravo!

Til Death Do Us Part
(2023)

Atrocious!
WORDS cannot express to you how outrageously terrible this film is. A utter abomination to the film industry.

Another thing I would like to express to you in utter disgust is Ser'Darius Blain's insulting stereotype British accent this coming from someone that is actually British we don't sound like that. Did you have a lesson to watch Downtown Abbey over and over? You failed miserably.

Overall the acting contributes to the failure & it makes it difficult to watch past 20 minutes as the acting/performances are utterly embarrassingly terrible. I'm sat here in utter disgust with the entirety of the film.

Talk to Me
(2022)

Intense!
I myself is a massive fan of horror films and I watched this and have to say that it's a great horror, in regards to contribution to the horror genre.

The writers have out done themselves as the story is cleverly written! Acting is brilliantly acted. I don't have anything negative relating to this.

I watched the first minute or so and the storyline immediately sucked me in wanting me to watch more, initially wanting to see what happens next. And the ending, not spoiling it but such a intelligently done. Very impressed. It's been a while since I've seen a decent horror film.

Overall this is well worth a a watch. 👍🏻

The Nun II
(2023)

Decent Horror Movie 👌🏻
I went to the cinema to see this as I'm a huge fan of horror films in-particularly the conjuring franchise as it's so well put together.

In regards to this sequel, I have to say it's an improvement from its predecessor. A lot more horror, the story is more thrilling & horror based than the its first film. I enjoyed the scares & the discoveries, & the realisation of the film series being tied in with the conjuring films. Very cleverly executed. Bravo!

I would like to praise Bonnie Aarons for her superb performance as 'The Nun' - her acting makes it somewhat believable. Such a skilled actress.

The Haunting of Hill House
(2018)

Tremendously Written!
I myself is a massive fan of the horror genre, and when I stumbled across this gem I was hooked. The storyline is phenomenally written, to the fact that it draws you into the story ever so deliciously, making you want to watch the next episode.

The acting is brilliant. All actors have such a talent that contributes into the success of the series. Especially praising the whole concept of the storyline which is sublimity/perfection.

The whole series is utterly perfection, & we'll worth the watch. The only critique is the backstory of the house, I wish they dived into more detail of the houses history.

Elemental
(2023)

Bland & Dull.
Upon seeing the vast amounts of advertisements for this film, it looked good & decided to give it a try, bloody hell how I was wrong wish I'd never it bothered.

The whole film was bland and vastly tedious, at points in the film I grew very tired & zoned out. I found this to be a very disappointment to the Disney name. The storyline was poorly written & pointless.

On a positive note I would like to praise the animators as the CGI/animation is brilliant, the effects on the fire characters and the heat waves that derive from the fire is flawlessly executed. I was impressed at how great the animation was.

A Discovery of Witches
(2018)

Nauseating.
I came upon this & started to watching as this type of genre is my utmost favourite. I watched the first series, it was a very very slow storyline until something/magically dramatic actually happened, and when it did it was disappointing, nevertheless I was committed & tried to give it a chance and watch the second season, what a mistake I made.

Storyline is slow & pointless, an example is that I didn't understand the point of some scenes, which made you question & falsely watch more... absolutely atrociously written.

Acting wise, bloody hell where to start... Teresa Palmer, just shouldn't act at all. Her performance is cringeworthy to the point of nausea.

Utterly pointless/abomination of a series.

Ghost Ship
(2002)

Bloody Brilliant!
I myself is a massive fan of the horror genre, I stumbled across this as a kid when it came on TV, & I remember how scary it was, bringing my younger brother in the room because I was petrified as I attempted originally to watch it alone. Hilarious really, I digress now as an adult I still express how brilliant this film is, the storyline is brilliant executed, I would like to add phenomenal praise to the writers at the ending scene, the overall discovery, a major head turner, I found it deliciously brilliant. I would also like to input a massive shoutout to Julianna Margulies her performance is outstanding, such a a talent actress.

The Good Wife
(2009)

Twists & Turns.
I stumbled on this series by accident a few years ago & instantly became addicted to it, every episode has an suspenseful episode resulting in yourself being drawn in watch the next and so forth with everyday scenarios.

Acting wise, I have to give Julianna Margulies a huge shout out as her performance is outstandingly brilliant.

The storyline is executed brilliantly, but the only critique I have is from season 7 when the series was cancelled, it was rushed, & written very lackadaisical. Such a shame really as previous seasons were so entertaining. Then they cancelled it, shockingly then re introduced its successor series 'The Good Fight' which was quite frankly very bland in comparison to 'The Good Wife'. Why cancel which a brilliant series to embark on a bland series?

Nevertheless, this is well worth watch as there is suspense & many twists & turns.

Romy and Michele's High School Reunion
(1997)

90's Nostalgia.
I grew up in the 90's and this film was on TV many times, I can't tell you the amount of times I've watched this film. I find it to be a masterpiece, everytime it came on I revelled in excitement at how brilliant it was.

Both Mira Sorvino & Lisa Kudrow perform equally phenomenally! Story is brilliantly written - the one liners are hilariously iconic. I do not have one critique about this entire film. I also note that I adore the music contribution to film. Who doesn't love a Cyndi Lauper song? It adds to the films brilliance.

Overall, I have to say this is a fantastic film that deserves the uproar for being a iconically brilliant film from the 90's. A must watch.

The Little Mermaid
(1989)

Perfection!
I have to emphasise how of a masterpiece this film is, utter perfection, as a child I loved this and now as a adult I find myself more related to Ursula, her one liners are my utmost favourite.

The storyline is brilliantly executed, the voice actors perform phenomenally, I have to give a massive shoutout to the legend that is 'Pat Carroll', her voice draws you into the character biography. Such a talented woman.

The production of the animation is flawlessness, as I said everything about this is pure utter perfection. I myself isn't a massive fan of musical numbers, but I have to note how brilliant Ursula's 'Poor Unfortunate Souls' is, iconic in my eyes!

33 years later & its still one of my favourite films & remains a iconic masterpiece.

The Little Mermaid
(2023)

ABOMINATION.
I started to watch this ignoring all the negative publicity surrounding it & watching it with positivity, but my outcome is - what an atrocious abomination.

I cringed so much at the acting. Horrendously acted throughout. Not mentioning any names. 👀

The storyline has been changed that much that its an abomination also. It's insincere to the point of nausea. Actual insult to the 1989 film. I can't find anything good about this film. Not to mention the atrocious use of CGI they use, are we back in the early 1990's? Come on.

On a positive note, I did like the cameo of Jodi Benson (the original Ariel voice actress) But that's the only positive thing in the entire film.

LOVE
I myself is a massive fan of the horror genre & when this was released the trailer looked phenomenal. I started to watch the first episode & by that time I was hooked I was drawn in wanting more by just watching the first episode, I binge watched the entire series because it was that good.

The storyline was executed superbly to the point that it indulged the 90's era beautifully bringing me back to my childhood. In all fairness this series is a major contribution to the horror genre.

The acting in this series is brilliant, however a massive shout out to Dina Shihabi who stood out for me, who at times her acting shined so bright, such a skilled actress.

I just cannot believe Netflix would cancel a series, absolutely devastated when I found out because if the first season was as good as this what would the second season be like? Nevertheless, this is well worth a watch.

Insidious: The Red Door
(2023)

Very disappointing.
I just adore the original films in the franchise, like for example the first one was such a great film the story was spot on, brilliantly executed, the second was great too connecting the whole Lamberts story together. However this one was such a disappointment to the whole franchise & the continuation of the original story.

The first hour nothing happened, I'm serious I was like where's the horror? - it was very tedious, nothing in comparison to the original films, it lacked in horror, entertainment & the overall storyline synopsis was foggy & muffled.

Overall I wish I avoided. To the writers - what happened? The original films were perfection how on earth would you think this was good writing? Boring & tedious throughout.

Breaking Bad
(2008)

Fascinating series!
I'm personally not the type of person to watch this kind of genre of a series, I starting watching it on a spontaneous whim, glad I did because it's bloody tremendous.

The whole story, writing, acting, throughout is bloody brilliantly put together. I especially like to give Bryan Cranston a massive shout out for his outstanding performance, such a talented actor, I loved his performance prior to Breaking Bad, for example in Malcolm in the Middle, Bryan's skill & talent contributes highly to this series in being a such a success.

Overall this series is a masterpiece, and well worth the watch.

Nurse Jackie
(2009)

Brilliantly done!
Words cannot express how brilliant of a series this is, everything about this is a masterpiece.

The storyline, acting, is supbebly executed. Edie Falco is one skilled actress that performs phenomenally. So many twists and turns, but it in just every season finale a suspense just drew you in a sucked in wanting more.

Additionally... Eve Best's performance is just amazingly done, such a skilled actress too, her character is just a joy to watch, her scenes were sometimes my favourite. I only wish it would of went on for a further few seasons, but one hundred percent, this is well worth a watch.
