The Color of Money
(1986)

Great Watch
"You don't think about it but it makes your day like electricity" (Eddie)

"Pool excellence doesn't come down to excellent pool... it's about becoming something" (Eddie)

Students of human moves (Eddie)

The above quotes are those that stuck out to me most. I will use them for all of my living, the rest of my life.

I enjoyed this movie for multiple reasons: 1) The chemistry in the acting 2) The cinematography work is intimate and personable 3) The script is stellar and has lines worth quoting

I learned much about life, business, loving, and living by watching this movie.

Thanks to Tim Ferriss for the movie recommendation.

The Devil All the Time
(2020)

Connections and Meaning
This is a movie I've been wanting to watch for a long time. It's not that I haven't gotten around to it, until watching it just now, for the sake of not wanting to watch it. No. I simply didn't set aside time to watch it. That's all.

But I'm glad the day has come because this was a deeply interwoven film.

I see how the writer connected all the lives of the individuals in this film and used each intention of each person to expose their deepest lies and desires. Throughout the movie, the actors truly make the film pop with their incredible performances. All the more, it sucks the viewer into the moment of each film, to only later see how all the dots are connected with Arvin's life and every life highlighted in the film.

Wow. Incredible acting. Incredible writing. I can tell the writer and director truly had a meaning to this movie that was related to his own life.

Although, the actions in the movie were full of man's sin and malice, the storytelling was something I've never seen before.

Mudbound
(2017)

Tremendous Storytelling
This is my kind of movie.

What astounding storytelling and filmmaking. The actors bleed out their roles with an enthusiasm and potency that I've never seen before.

Each part to this movie was connected to the next. This movie showed the malicious of man and the terrinly bad we went through during such a time in the 40s.

I enjoyed the narration at times too. It added context and, at times, a preface to the scene before it even occurred.

The Dig
(2021)

Compelling
This film has some spectacular acting and cinematography. The storyline is sentimentally, beautiful.

I enjoyed this watch more than I thought I would.

And of course, it's a true story. How amazing!!!!

The Imitation Game
(2014)

Spectacular; Wow
This is one of the greatest films I've ever seen. The filmmaking was on point and the storyline, in that it's true, is absolutely incredible.

Wow. Not only did I learn a lot, but I thoroughly enjoyed the watch.

I've been waiting for this to go on Netflix. What a fun time it was to finally watch it!

Boiling Point
(2021)

Intense and Suprising
An entirely one shot movie!!! That's so hard to do - especially the way they did it.

Only 1917 was my favorite one shot film. But now "Boiling Point" has been added to that list.

I felt the intensity of the kitchen because of the incredible acting. Each scene brought a new surprise. Although I work in food, no kitchen is as hard as one like this - a top level restaurant.

Beautifully directed and filmed.

Best Sellers
(2021)

Decet Movie
I was enthralled by this one. It was a plane ride watch.

It had comedy and some fun here and there, but not what I thought it would be.

On a good note, it gets better as it goes.

The Adam Project
(2022)

Fun Movie, Action and Comedy Throughout
What a fun movie to watch. Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner and Zoe always do a great job in their roles. Guaranteed comedy too.

There was a touch of sci-fi, comedy, scentimental moments, and action. It was a nice mix of all throughout.

I enjoyed watching this movie. Quick one that wasn't expecting to ever see. I hope it performs well on Netflix.

Jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy
(2022)

Documentary, Genius
Extremely well told story. Now, that's a documentary mannnn .

Incredible. Insightful. Eye-opening. Both in terms of what I learned about Kanye and his thoughts, most important about God, but also how Coodie told this story and put together a documentary. This will all contribute to my story and story telling abilities.

The Passion of the Christ
(2004)

The Last of the Lords Mission - All in One Movie
To depict an entire two hour movie about the end of Jesus life takes tons of focus and care.

I appreciate those who made this and that some of the exact verses from the Gospels and Old Testament spoken by Jesus and other prophets made it into the script of the movie.

I cried watching this. As my pastor once said, "Our deprivity is shown in our inability to weep at our salvation."

O Lord. Jesus. Savior. Thank you.

The Best of Enemies
(2019)

Got To Love a True Story
Oh wow. What a great one.

I never knew of such a true event until this movie. I was entertained and educated.

What a blessing this tense time was for Durham NC in '71. Wow.

The power of love is a mighty thing. Ann had her heart with the Lord and miraculous things were blessed to all because of her persistent, along with those around her. Go C. P too! Let's go!

The Outpost
(2019)

Real Story, Definitely Done Well
What a perspective I had in watching this film. The action of the cinematography felt like I was there with those soldiers. Such a thing for me to say though because those men are traumatized because of the hell they had to go through.

I thank the crew and cast for making this watch so incredible and inspiring. But whoa is me if I say I felt like I was there with those soliders. That is an experience like no other.

I'm grateful to be gifted such a film and watch.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
(2018)

Stellar Storytelling
By reading the summary of this movie, before even starting to watch it, this one was a keeper. I'm biased because I enjoy such films as these, but unbiasly I can say that I objectively loved the storyline and telling of its story.

Real people went through events during WWII like the island of Guernsey did. This film was captured in a way that brought a fascinating perspective to it all - all through writing and books which are one of my favorite things in this life.

There Will Be Blood
(2007)

Acting. On Point.
The cinematography and acting is stellar. Just A1.

The entire storyline keeps the viewer reeled in through one tragedy or triumph after another. The oilman will do whatever it takes to make his way won.

Although the ending had me preplexed and it's a wrong in and of its own, the fictional film had my eyes for the entire time.

Not wavering once. Locked in to the drama because I couldn't have guessed any event even if I wanted to. This movie has a little old school fictonal novel in it. Food for thought!

The Biggest Little Farm
(2018)

Creative and It's Making Me Think!!....
What if I were to start my own farm? A thought I've contemplated before but this amazing couple brings it all to reality.

They did it! And they made this film themselves through their own documentation. Talk about self starters!!

Talk about people who love what they do and do it well.

Thanks for the recommendation Spane. This will be a source of recommendation to many others that I know in this field of interest!

Undercover Billionaire
(2019)

Leasons Learned
This first season was extremely helpful in learning how a billionaire thinks.

There is a quote that I'll paraphrase that goes: you should be able to build a mindset and skills to the point of abandoning everything and rebuilding it from scratch on an island.

Meaning, if you built something successful, one's true skills will be tested to see if they can do it again, but with less at their disposal.

Undercover Billionaire are my above thoughts and life realizations manifested into a tv show.

A truly great idea and tough to execute into a show. Wow.

Troy
(2004)

Compelling and Engaging
A top Brad Pitt action-oriented film and one with such traditional.

The way the movie starts off is telling of the potential of the action and the music and scoring in this film.

The rest of the movie from then on lived up to such expectancy's I had.

A great, engaging film that kept my eyes the entire time.

Bruised
(2020)

Halle Berry
The little boy in this movie was absolutely captivating. He spoke little to no words but he brought the glue to Halle Berry's character in the movie and an emotional pull to the movie that no other could.

When he entered into the scene, everything changed for the better - yet some suffering was guaranteed along the way.

Intense movie with some great cinematography and directing.

The Unforgivable
(2021)

A Thrilling, Grabbing, Emotional Movie
What a film. Sandra Bullock and Viola Davis and the rest of the crew did an incredible job filling the potential in their roles.

Wow.

I was thrown through a mental loop when the part broke that twisted the whole movie on its head based on what the viewer might have thought throughout the movie.

That's when you know the screenwriting and storytelling is incredible. This was like a shutter island movie layout with the movie revealing itself as it unfolded.

What an incredible film.

I Am Sam
(2001)

Amazing. All Around
What acting. Sean Penn, kudos to you for your beautiful acting in this film and the lessons you helped drill home for all watching.

I'm a fan of this movie. What a great one.

CODA
(2021)

Incredible and Emotional Moving
What a film with a great storyline from the start. I absolutely loved the emotion from all of the cast. There was such a pull from all of them, especially the young daughter of the deaf parents, Ruby.

And the fact that the mother in thr movie is actually deaf in reality is even more wowwing.

Wow.

The English Game
(2020)

Excellent
True story. That's all that needs to be said.

An amazing job acting and retaking such a powerful couple years in sports.

I enjoyed this watch about Fergus Suter, Jimmy Love, and the FA. What an incredible feat by all involved.

Faithkeepers
(2016)

The One Worthy Cause
If you are to be persecuted for anything, let it be for duing because of your belief in Jesus Christ.

Christians are guaranteed persecution here on earth. The faith of these individuals living in the Middle East is inspiring and hopefully strengthens the faith of many who watch - including myself.

I appreciate those who put this film together, those who had the courage to be interviewed, and those who continue to watch such a beautiful, insightful, worthy documentary to this day - for the Glory and Honor onto our Father in Heaven.

Blue Miracle
(2021)

Captivating
The title is the first word that came to mind. Great cinematography. The closeness and intimacy of the shots are incredible.

And all of thr storyline is incredible. A true story. Wow!

The Sound of Music
(1965)

Went From a No Watch to a Great Watch
Thanks for hooking me onto this mom. A great movie with some great, classic music and singing of it as well.

Excellent all around.

And an ending I was not expecting.
