I Am Mother
(2019)

Entertaining - watch this once for certain
This movie is well put together, the lead actors are very skilled and the concept is original. A great one time watch with absolutely no regrets. I found it quite exciting.

Awake

Really bad
Very random events and not one scene flows into the next. This one had so much promise with the story ... but died at the editing table it seems.

Watch something else. Literally anything else.

Tribhanga

Watch this
This isn't going to leave you marveling the skill of movie making. But if you are in just the right frame of mind when you watch it, you will feel a sort of joyous sorrow when you reach the end.

The story could have been just a bit different, the narrative drawn out just a bit more, the editing could have been just a little less tight, but the acting, is wonderful. Everyone does justice to the roles they are given never straying out of line and they all ... fit?

Watch it because some movies are just meant to be enjoyed once. And they allow you to connect to them for that brief period of time, and move on, a little entertained. Nothing more or less.

Enjoy.

The Lift Boy
(2019)

Simple
A simple tale. A simple cast.

This isn't going to do much for your cinematic experience if you watch this hoping for deep meanings, a mature cast and innovative camera work. What this movie gives you is an easy everyday look see into its very basic characters. It works on a very primal level. It isn't going to win Oscars, it isn't going to be something you tell your friends about but on a quiet Sunday afternoon, it will mean something to you - accompany this with a nice cup of tea.
