Sub Down
(1997)

Underrated!
In my opinion this is the best submarine movie. It is suspenseful, has a good dialogue (check the quotes section), characters to care about, and good acting (great as ever: Gabrielle Anwar). The only thing that I missed in this movie was a Hans Zimmer score. See this movie, it's worth it! (my vote: 10/10)

The Getaway
(1972)

Not bad
Not bad, but too slow. Sometimes it's really funny. But if you like the story, see TRUE ROMANCE. It has a much better dialog, better supporting actors (Christopher Walken, Gary Oldman, Dennis Hopper), and better action scenes.

Face/Off
(1997)

interesting plot
What happens, if two people change their identities and nobody who knew about it is still alive. A cop (Travolta) becomes a criminal, and a criminal (Cage) becomes a cop... interesting. Cage plays as great as usual, but sadly there must be another man, and this one is played by Travolta. For me, this is the reason why I can't vote Face/Off higher than seven out of ten.

Broken Arrow
(1996)

standard plot - good movie
This is one of the two movies I have seen for which Travolta was the right choice (the other is Pulp Fiction). He can only play very cool people, and this is exactly what he has to do here. Broken Arrow has a standard plot: a man steals two A-Bombs and then blackmails a USA. As John Woo could not take this seriously, the movie is very funny. And the actors do a good job. My vote: seven out of ten.

Gridlock'd
(1997)

Boring
Tim Roth is great, but due to a lack of story this movie is boring. 4 of 10 points.
