Weakest Link
(2002)

Sweet Jesus...
I had the misfortune of watching this bastardized version of "The Weakest Link" when I was recently in America. The reason the British version of "The Weakest Link" works so well, is because Anne Robinson is W-I-T-T-Y and she uses that wit to actually make funny, albeit caustic comments. That's something, perhaps, the Americans do not understand, seeing as they've replaced her acerbic comments with such amusing and intelligent remarks as:

"Who is the mould in your Chinese take-out?"

Yes. How hilarious...

Someone stab me.

Jason X
(2001)

It could have been better
I enjoyed this movie a lot. However, when I first saw it, I was left feeling somewhat disappointed - there was a lot of potential, but some of it was never reached. I then saw it for a second time, and I realised that my expectations were simple too high. I enjoyed it much more. With solid directing from Jim Isaac, a (for the most part) good script by Todd Farmer and good acting (with the exception of Chuck Campbell as Tsunaron who p***ed me off straight away). The deaths are inventive, and surprisingly not too gory (bare in mind I saw the Internation Uncut version). However, I believe this film would have been a lot less enjoyable if it had not been for the characters of Janessa (Melyssa Ade) and Fat Lou (Boyd Banks).

All in all, this was a good film, and I can't wait for an extras packed DVD.

Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned
(1999)

Simply wonderful...
I have been a fan of the Gabriel Knight series for about 3 years. I discovered Gabriel Knight II, bought it and was addicted to the series from then on.

I eagerly bought the third title from the series and from the moment the beautifully rendered first shot was seen by my eyes, I was completely hooked.

Tim Curry was, as always, flawless as Gabriel Knight. The script was funny and dramatic whilst the graphics and sound were superb. The music was absolutely fantastic and it captured the mood of the game.

All in all, Gabriel Knight III: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned is one of the best games I've ever played. It left me wanting more and hopefully, there will be...

The Oz Witch Project
(1999)

Hilarious and absurd!
This short film was absolutely fantastic. Meredith Salenger who plays Dorothy leads a terrific cast.

The jokes are original and hilarious, whilst the direction and editing are brilliant. The actors are all very funny and I hope that director and writer Michael Rotman has more great titles in store for us.

Psycho Cop Returns
(1993)

Hilariously Brilliant Stuff
This movie is hilarious. It doesn't try to be a serious horror movie, because the makers knew it was a sucky film and so they added one-liners and jokes. Brilliant! I loved all the death scenes.

Neighbours
(1985)

Bad
The things is, a lot of these types of shows were good when they first started. But then they carry on for too long, and the writers run out of original material fast. Unfortunately, this has been happening for the last five years, on this particular show.

Can I just start off by saying that the actors that are currently in it, are the biggest bunch of washed out, no-hopers, who, when they have to act upset, flare their nostrils a lot and have water splashed on their faces. This by the way, would be an example of a good actor in this T.V show.

And the dialogue and plots seem to be getting more and more ridiculous. They've had about 50 stormy relationships, which never work out in the end. The writers just rehash the old stuff that they hope nobody will remember. They've had the "Are you cheating on me, with my friend?" plotline more times than I can count. They've had the "Oh no! My mum/dad is dead and your getting together with him/her?!" about 3 times and finally they've had the "Oh no! I think something fishy is going on" but it all turns out to be perfectly innocent, plotline about 20 times. You get the idea, right?

Also, Ramsey St. must be the unluckiest street in the universe, since they have had more than 13, yes you heard me, 13 deaths in a span of ten years. I mean, people would think that street is cursed or something. Oops, I just probably gave the writers a fresh and original idea...

Urban Legend
(1998)

To sum up in one word...Pain
I was on holiday in America, and I thought this flick looked rather entertaining. It had an original premise, but that is ruined after the first 15 mins. The cast are a bunch of washed out, no-hopers whose acting abilities range from. "Oh look, someone is dead...Hmmmmm, oh yeah. Ahhh" to "Oh look, a person with an ax heading toward me...What should I do?". Really, this film is REALLY this bad. Alicia Witt is just about bearable, whilst that Noxeema girl, Gayheart gives the most disgusting performance. I felt like vomiting all over the screen to hide her from small children. It could damage their health. If I had to sum this movie up in one word. Pain. Extreme, long, bloody pain. And to think they leave room for a sequel! I hope it's better than this trash. Please, stay away!

Witchboard
(1986)

One of the best films...ever
I really, really enjoyed this wonderful movie. Nice plot twists, enough suspense to keep you interested and guessing. Really good acting, a steady direction and a wonderful script, make this one a winner. Rent out!

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
(1995)

Ugh! Avoid!
This film is the worst sequel, I have ever seen. Ever. Really. It's just brainless carnage. It also throws in some confusing junk about Michael Myers being cursed. Wow! Funny how it was never mentioned in the other films. The acting is bad, the plot is worse and the direction is rock bottom. Avoid at all costs.

Godzilla
(1998)

This was one of the worst films ever...literally.
From start to finish, this was mish mash attempt at an action film. It isn't action. It's boredom. Extreme boredom. I mean, this is really bad. It goes down there with Batman and Robin, Species II, Speed II: Cruise Control and the Lost World. Also, for most of the film, you only see Godzilla's foot. A more suitable name for this abysmal production would be "Godzilla: Foot to be Feared!". The two leads (Brodderick and that woman) are possibly the most miscast actors of all time. Oh wait, the guy that replaced Keanu Reeves in Speed II was the most miscast actor of all time, but these two people come a close second. The lady just can't act. She can't. Brodderick can act, but in this film, his acting is...Laughable to say the least. This film also rips off other films. Let's see now. When the discover the eggs in Madison Square garden, Devlin and Emmerich (The producers) rip off alien. When the four characters are being chased around in a cab, the film rips off Jurassic Park. When Godzilla jumps into the water, before you can say "Brain Dead Production", it rips off The Hunt for Red October. I read a review and the reviewer said "The only rip off I was waiting to see next, was of Devlin's or Emmerich's head". Whoever wrote that is a genius. I couldn't agree more. This film is just putrid. Horrible. Whenever the lead female came on screen, I felt like vomiting all over the screen and protecting everyone from her...Well, crap acting. I hope Devlin and Emmerich never make a film again...Honestly, do they think we will just eat anything they dish out?

Night of the Demons III
(1997)

Yuk!
This film is horrendous. Stay away from this film! The acting is non existent. I'm not joking. They probably were just friends of the director. The gore/makeup is also non existent. There's a part where a girl's arm is cut. When it shows her arm, there is no cut in the flesh. Just bright (FAKE!) red liquid rubbed onto her arm. Oh my! They probably spent all of the budget on the opening credits, which are computer generated and the credits is just one thing, looping constantly, getting more and more annoying each time until you just scream with rage. Here's a helpful tip when watching this movie on TV. After the credits say "DEMON HOUSE", switch off the TV and go to bed. Sleeping is far more enjoyable than sitting through this movie!

Deep Rising
(1998)

Wow! Cool!
I had read some reviews of this movie, and to be honest I didn't expect it to be very good at all. I was pleasantly surprised by the film. It's mix of comedy, suspense and horror go nicely together, and the fact they're always standing hip-height in water so the monster could just swim and drag them away, makes it quite scary. I covered my ears a few times, because I didn't want a loud to noise to make me jump out of my skin, like this film does. It really is a treat. It also stars a Treat. Ha Ha Ha! You know....Treat Williams...Treat...Oh...Ah, forget it!

Stand by Me
(1986)

A real gem.
I really liked this film. The script is witty/sad/heart- warming. The acting really is brilliant. The characters are portrayed beautifully. Rob Reiner out did himself.

Halloween
(1978)

Ahhhhh!
This is possibly the greatest and scariest horror movie ever. Some people think that the acting is bad, or the script is boring. Well, I only have one thing to say to them. The script is complex in a subtle way, so if you don't "catch" the script it just goes way over your head. Jamie Lee Curtis is fantastic. So is P.J Soles, Nancy Loomis and D.P (R.I.P).
