The Munsters Today
(1987)

Again, Hollywood takes something good and makes it unwatchable
I struggled sitting through the abysmal first episode and couldn't bear to sit through another. Granted, that's not giving it much of a chance but growing up with the original show I was highly disappointed with the characters. Every time Herman opened his mouth I was reminded of Holmes & Yo-Yo where he was also put together in a lab. The only saving grace was Lee Merriwether who actually played her character very well. The canned laugh track was quite annoying inserting laughter at lines that weren't even funny. I have yet to see a remake that was any good. Maybe I'm expecting too much but it seems Hollywood has run completely of of ideas.

John Wick: Chapter 4
(2023)

A little too Hollywoody for me
While I feel that the first three films were topnotch I was a little disappointed by this one. Far too unbelievable to almost the point I almost couldn't tolerate watching the entire thing. The clencher was the shooting scenes at the Arc de Triomphe. Honestly, people continuing to drive through the shootouts was on the ridiculous side. Nobody in their right mind would drive through hails of gunfire.

They also made John Wick more or less a superhero. When I see someone get up after landing on their back from a 40+ foot fall and jump right up like nothing happened is brain numbing. Ditto for the bad guys. The big dude with gold teeth gets his throat slit and three shots in the back yet can still fight like a madman is something right out of the Friday the 13th kind of film. I give it a 5/10.

Nudist Colony of the Dead
(1991)

Pretty bad, but entertaining if you're in the right state of mind beforehand
One of those films that you need a half-rack or phatty to sit through. But, once the effects from your favorite mind number start to hit you, this one becomes rather enjoyable. Rocky Horror Picture Show wannabe has nudists that killed themselves in a suicide pact come back and terrorize the right-wingers that got the nudist colony shut down.

Most of the nudity is in the opening credits and then that ain't much. For nudists, they sure do wear a lot. Boobies, that's it..Nary a butt shot. Pretty weak. The musical numbers have some crazy lyrics, and the break you get from the poor acting makes them even more enjoyable. A perfect cult movie candidate.

Manos: The Hands of Fate
(1966)

It's a stinker, but it's not the worst
I agree with most of the comments I've seen so far. The acting was horrible, the lighting and camerawork sucked. The editing has to be the worst I've ever seen and the dubbing was so bad it made you wonder if they even viewed this when it was overdubbed or just read lines in a tape recorder. This is one you have to medicate yourself (with your choice of substance) before watching.

Yeah it's a stinker, but is it the worst? Not by a long shot considering they only had $19,000 to work with. I knew in the first ten minutes that this was going to be the most amateurish looking movie I had ever see, even worse than Cornman: American Vegetable Hero.

But still, with a gun to my head and a choice between this movie and Volcano, Manos, The Hand of Fate would be my pick.

I'd give it a 1.5/10

Twister
(1996)

Really stupid
Unbelievable, hokey and downright stupid.. Wonder where I can get a truck that repairs itself like Christine, drive on its side up a stairway (the house WAS blown over, right?) and not be affected by 200 mph winds while dodging flying trees and semi trucks??

This one rates as the second worst disaster film I have ever seen. Only Volcano was a worse p.o.s.

Who knows? Maybe I would have enjoyed it if I had been labotomized first.
