In the doctor's testimony, he says "a few yards away there was a rifle with a bayonet attached". When Sam looks at the dying March, the rifle is lying by March's right side, and the bayonet was between his legs. The rifle is in the same position when Philomac is taking things from the body. When Archie is covering the body with the tarp, the rifle is still in the same position but the bayonet has disappeared.
Philomac walks up to March's body and kneels down to take items from it. When Archie later covers the body with the tarp, there is no sign of any footprints or other marks beside the body.
When March's got killed there was no stones beside him, the rocks then appeared while covering his body with a sheet.
