For a title called Kinky, once I saw where the storyline tried to go, I expected to see "kinkiness"! But as soon as something begins between the two, it cuts to the end of whatever they was supposed to be doing. There's no show and tell at all. Then to throw a monkey wrench at the very end, and boom, movie over. I feel like this movie was going for a Fifty Shades of Grey feel with a twist, but missed all the important points that kept movie goers coming back.

I don't think I've ever written a review before but this film made me want to.
First of all, it has nothing to do with the advertised plot, simply because it has no plot nor did it ever develop... It also has no purpose. Usually films "teach" you something or make you think about something and this movie did neither. It made no sense. It is so bad it makes a good comedy though, hence the 2 stars.
The ending made no sense either.
The acting is terrible from the 2 protagonists. Some supporting cast performed better than them. Zero character development.
Scenario is bad, unrealistic and unnatural.
The scene and audio transitions were a travesty which is something I never thought I would comment on about a film. In a few scenes and I'm not really sure how to describe it but when the dialogue was ending and the scene changed, the last few words from the previous scene would repeat at the start of the next scene... Also, in most scenes the acoustic was terrible and it kept changing along with the lighting throughout the scenes.
I don't know what the creators were thinking when they decided they wanted to create this movie...Honestly, I'm lost for words.

I really wanted to love the movie. However, I was unable to due to the lack of character development and dialogue. There was absolutely NOTHING that held my attention. I don't even remember the characters names.
The only reason I didn't walk out was because I love movie popcorn. In addition, the conversation I was having with my friend was entertaining.

I saw this "movie" yesterday and paid $5 to see it. I way over paid! Bad acting, bad plot, bad character development, bad everything! If you removed every pointless scene you'd have a movie shorter than the trailer. This is not a movie to be seen. You have been warned.

The acting was horrible, the movie looked like a straight to TV movie and the writing was horrific

This was a horrible movie and bad acting. There was no plot to this movie, and very confusing the ending was terrible.

The movie was soo bad! The script was awful and unnatural and the acting was horrific. We actually left the theatre before the movie was over because we were bored and laughing at the film than actually being interested in it at all. Do not recommend.

Corny dialogue. No plot. Boring. I've seen better stories. Sex scene was mediocre for a "romantic movie". A bad 50 shades of gray rip off. Over all just really Boring.

Somebody wanted to burn some diversity budgets into making 50 Shades of Gray. But it was already done, with better script and way better good looking actors.
I understand the crew wanted to have fun and the audience had to pay for it, but subtlety is way higher on the human scale of evolution.
How's the score for this so low??? It's way better and more realistic than 50 shades! Most say it's because there's no story... well you don't need a story if you have imagination or if you have similar experiences. At least it's no fluffy romance (which gives false/unrealistic expectations to women and brainwashes them!).

Oh God this is so bad I can't even take it seriously At least Fifty shades of gray had some acting! Terrible actors.
Why every kinky movie had to be about a filthy rich man? Oh wait, was this kinky? The poor man is terrified from extremely superficial stuff 😂
It could have been more into Blue is the warmest colors, or a comedy movie, anything that saves us this embarrassment.
I mean, come on! You wasted my Thursday night for this?

It's Not Horrible, But It Is A Struggle To Get Through
You see how I weak that highlight is? One sentence for there is honestly not a huge amount of redeeming qualities here. First and foremost, Kinky ain't that kinky. Joyce's interest don't go beyond handcuffs, being tied up, and maybe some whipping. I don't know about you, but that isn't kinky or freaky to me. It's just not being boring. Then, when it comes to Darrin, it isn't like he is bringing anything to the table besides his friend downstairs, and it's not like he is trying to explore his sexuality. So there is one bust there.
But what makes things worse is nothing compensates for the lack of stimulating sex. Joyce, Darrin, and their friends and family aren't interesting or funny. Granted, they are clearly written to be, but every character seems like they are from a bargain bin movie you have seen before. Making it so, on top of not being funny or having storylines you'd want to invest in, they all feel painstakingly generic. Pushing you to the point that either you'll have to pause multiple time to make it through this movie, have someone who can provide hilarious commentary, or prep for accidentally taking a nap.

The story, if you can call it that, made no sense. The acting was horrible, and the main character was the worst offender. She gave nothing but anger, if anger can be lifeless.
Poor Scenario...
Poor Directing
Poor tempo and events rythm
Poor acting
Poor everything!
This movie was great! & I mean every bit of greatness! However, the way it ended was horrible! I was looking for more! I'm thinking there might be a part 2 because of the way ended it. At least I'm hoping for a part 2! If not, still a great movie.

Loved it !! Will there be a part 2 ???? Great actors and loved how the main casts had a raw connection. Needs a story line though !
I have read the 50 Shades books about 3X and the movies did it no justice. I just watched "Kinky" and the chemistry between the 2 characters was absolutely amazing. It took me back to the 50 shades books. This is the movies people you cannot expect for more, especially in this sensitive world nowadays. I really wish that there was a Kinky 2, I enjoyed the ending and mad that there wasn't a part 2. The movie drew me in, the movies was meant to spark imagination not tell you everything to do. Shame on all of you. Jean-Claude AWESOME job. Dawn's voice drew me in, Richard's stare was awesome******
