Mathlete's Feat is a terrific Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes. It was a fun episode as we see Lisa joining a maths team and competing in the world championships, the scenes in the school were the funniest parts of the episode and particularly many hilarious quotes from Principal Skinner. It didn't really feel like a season finale to me which left me disappointed, the plot was simply too normal and it felt like it would have made more sense in the middle of the season, judging from past finales such as Dangers on a Train, the Ned-liest Catch, Judge Me Tender and Coming to Homerica, I expected more from this episode. It also features some very clever maths jokes and the way they delivered then was nicely constructed, they sort of dumbed it down for people like me who wouldn't understand, so you could still appreciate the intellectual humour. Mathlete's Feat may not be an outstanding end to the twenty sixth season, but I really enjoyed this season and this episode is certainly of the many great episodes it features, and it also has a brilliant couch gag.
After competing in a maths competition, Lisa causes huge changes for Springfield Elementary.
