Goofs
When Rhodes and Costello interrogate Malachy, Rodney says "Come on Skipper! This is enough of this. Just tell Rhodes what he wants to know?" Though it isn't quite clear what it is that Rhodes wants Malachy to tell him, Rhodes likely wants Malachy to tell him where Jake and Leslie are hiding.

A good ending to one of my favourite shows

I was pretty late to this series. I stumbled across it on Netflix UK and decided to give it a go and I'm glad that I did. One of the critics reviews slated RoD because it was formulaic in a Magnum PI type way. Yes there are general similarities but this show stands on its own. First off it's set in Newfoundland or rather Newfinland as I now refer to it and the accents are brilliant. I just hope natives of St Johns actually speak like this.

I was starting to wonder how the would wrap up the series.. surely there were too many loose ends. But the writers and producers did well. It was exciting and had a neat twist.

The thing that made this show so enjoyable for me was largely because the main characters are so likeable and you really root for them. Mal played the Dad brilliantly, Rose was the perfect latest slightly younger wife, Trinny really grew into the show, Des was a legend, Lesley couldn't have been played better and last of all Jake was brilliantly acted.
