Season 1 was shot over 3 days, in December 2012.
A different actor was originally cast as Mr. Boon, however he pulled out the day before his scenes were shot. Creator/Producer Roberto Nascimento went on a search for a new "Mr. Boon" and finally got hold of Charles Chan's agent, who agreed on a late night audition. After a read through, Charles got cast on the spot.
Casey Alexandra Mendiola was heavily pregnant and originally cast to play pregnant Denise, but after a few delays in production it was decided it would be too risky for her. That prediction proved right, as her son was born on the 17th of December, second day of shooting.
