Kids watch some terrible movies. I should know, I have two of them. A24, the independent film and TV studio that has become synonymous with quality, is out to change that.
On September 4, A24 published the 288-page “Hey Kids, Watch This!,” a collection of more than 100 movie recommendations for families. None of them, by the way, are A24 films. The curation was performed by a group of “discerning critics, animators, and directors,” according to a press release. IndieWire’s own chief film critic and reviews editor David Ehrlich contributed a primer on how to talk about movies with your kids.
“Hey Kids, Watch This!” covers both hits and deep cuts. How deep? Has your preschooler seen Yuri Norstein’s 10-minute short film from 1975, “Hedgehog in the Fog”? Right, mine neither. Are the ’70s not ancient enough for your young-Old-Hollywood head? How about the 100-year-old film “The Adventures of Prince Achmed” from German director Lotte Reiniger?...

As much as it may surprise some, transitioning from athletics to entertainment isn’t that big of a leap. There are traditional routes, like Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley becoming commentators following their long careers as basketball players, as well as occasional actors. Lebron James founded a production shingle called SpringHill Entertainment in 2007, only 4 years into his professional playing career and has since, with the help of his partner Maverick Carter, grown it into the SpringHill Company, with focuses in marketing and platforming other athletes. Looking at the Paris Olympics as a current example, one of the first thing many of these athletes must do outside of their sport is learn how to present themselves to a world audience.
Some have a natural ability in this regards, such as The Goat, Simone Biles, or US women’s rugby player Ilona Maher, both of whom ranked up millions of views on TikTok during the games.

Disney’s Frozen 3 has landed a new release date which is a little later than expected… More on the sequel’s delay below.
Earlier this year, Disney announced the studio would be “leaning more” into sequels as it gave an update on its upcoming releases. We can expect sequels to The Incredibles, Zootopia, Moana and Toy Story to appear in cinemas in the next few years.
Frozen 3 was due to appear in cinemas in 2026, but the Mouse House has been forced to delay it by a year. Disney has given Frozen a new release date and we can now expect the animated sequel to hit US cinemas on the 24th November 2027, as reported by Variety. We’d expect the UK release to fall around the same time.
Frozen 4 is also already in the works. Neither film has a director officially attached, but Disney CEO Bob Iger did say that Jennifer Lee,...

Walt Disney World announced plans for a major expansion to its Animal Kingdom theme park. Construction will begin this fall on an 11-acre area called Pueblo Esperanza, themed around tropical South and Central America. Slated to open in 2027, the new land will feature attractions based on “Indiana Jones” and Disney’s animated hit “Encanto.”
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, said Imagineers are designing unique experiences for the new attractions. Central Florida will see dirt moving and building plans being drawn as Disney teams get to work bringing these stories to life in real places.
A key part of Pueblo Esperanza will be a first-of-its-kind Indiana Jones adventure. Riders will explore a recently uncovered Maya temple in search of a rumored mythical creature, just like archaeologist Indiana Jones. Actor Ke Huy Quan, who appeared in the Indiana Jones films, made a surprise appearance at the announcement event.

Disney revealed new information about the sequel to the hit 2016 animated film “Zootopia” at its recent D23 Expo event. The studio set a November 2025 release date for “Zootopia 2” and showed off the logo and artwork. Disney also introduced a new villain character that will be voiced by Academy Award winner Ke Huy Quan.
“Zootopia 2” will continue the story of police officers Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, voiced again by Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman. Inside Out 2 recently became Pixar's highest-grossing movie ever and, riding high from that success, the studio brought plenty of surprises to D23 last night (as we first reported earlier today on Toonado.com).
Pete Docter was on hand to reveal that the studio's first original series Win or Lose will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ on December 6.
Directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally, the new series reveals what it feels like to be in the shoes of eight different characters - the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire - as they prepare for a championship softball game.
Will Forte lends his voice to the coach and the first teaser and poster have been released.

At this year’s D23 Expo, during the entertainment showcase, some major updates were given about the upcoming sequel to 2016’s animated hit Zootopia. Nearly a decade after "Zootopia" became one of the highest-grossing movies of all time (unadjusted for inflation), Walt Disney Animation is finally bringing Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) back to the big screen. /Film's Jacob Hall is on the ground at this year's D23 convention in Anaheim, and was in the room when Goodwin took the stage, announcing the inclusion of a new character in this animal-friendly sequel: Gary, a friendly looking snake voiced by Ke Huy Quan. Described as "a wanted reptile Judy and Nick are trying to find," he's about the goofiest looking viper I've ever met.
IGN
An exclusive clip of "Zootopia 2" was previewed, showing that Judy and her foxy partner Nick are known investigators after the events of the first film. The clip, less than a minute long, sets up where the film might be taking place: "Marsh Market," a neighborhood for semi-aquatic animals.

Walt Disney Animation Studios has teased the first footage for “Zootopia 2,” the long-awaited sequel to its 2016 billion-dollar box office darling. Ginnifer Goodwin welcomed the fans at D23, proclaiming from the stage that “the bunny is back!”
Switching gears the “Zootopia” original police bunny got sentimental, “‘Zootopia’ is my happy place,” she said, “And I am so ready for the world to see this crazy new adventure.” After promising to revisit your favorite animals from the first film, Disney also teased an arks-load of new animals. First up is Disney alum Ke Huy Quan who is playing a reptile named Gary, the snake who was described as a “creepy, slithery, highly venomous viper.” Welcome Gary! Apparently, Gary is a big part of Nick and Judy’s hot new case. Plus this will be the first reptiles we shall see in the Zootopia world.

After Strange World, Lightyear, and Elemental disappointed at the box office, Disney decided to go all in on animated sequels, which has already proven successful with Inside Out 2. Plans are already in motion for sequels to Frozen and Moana, plus Zootopia.
It's already had a spin-off with Zootopia+ on Disney+, which explored many of the lives and backstories of the side characters from the first film, with Zootopia 2 being promised that it'll "take it to another level."

The highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s “It Ends With Us” hits theaters with a star-studded cast.
After initial announcements of Blake Lively playing the 23-year-old Lily Bloom, fans of the book weren’t convinced that Justin Baldoni’s adaptation would live up to the hype. Baldoni, who plays Lily’s love interest, Ryle, also directed and produced the film with his production company Wayfarer.
Both Hoover and Baldoni publicly stated that it was a joint decision to age up the characters, and one they hoped would make the story of domestic violence more universally accessible to a greater range of women.
“When we chose to partner with Sony and turn this into a major motion picture, obviously you need a movie star, [Lively] was one of the first names that was brought up, and all of us got very excited by the idea,” Baldoni told TheWrap about his casting choice for his protagonist.

Netflix dropped the teaser trailer July 30 for “Spellbound” (streaming November 22), the second animated feature from John Lasseter-led Skydance Animation (which is part of the impending Paramount-Skydance Media merger). The musical fantasy from director Vicky Jenson (“Shrek”) is a modern fairy tale that takes place in the mythical kingdom of Lumbria, where teenage princess Ellian (Rachel Zegler from “West Side Story”) must break the spell that transformed her parents (Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem) into monsters.
Boasting bright, eye-catching animation from Skydance Animation Madrid, the look of Lumbria (production designed by Brett Nystul) was influenced by the iconic architecture of ancient Spain, which was known for its domed rooftops and Moorish arches.
The rest of the voice cast includes John Lithgow (Minister Bolinar), Jenifer Lewis (Minister Nazara Prone), Nathan Lane (Sun Oracle), André De Shields (Moon Oracle), Jordan Fisher, and Tituss Burgess.

In October 2023, Skydance Animation shook up the industry when it announced it would be decamping from a 2020 deal with Apple Studios for streaming giant Netflix. New movies that Skydance Animation produced, including by filmmakers like Nathen Greno (Disney’s “Tangled”), Brad Bird (Pixar’s “Incredibles” films) and Rich Moore (Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” and “Zootopia”) would now bow exclusively on Netflix.
According to several individuals with knowledge of the deal, the idea was that, over time, as much as half of Netflix’s original animated feature output would be Skydance Animation productions. But the arrangement has frustrated in-house Netflix Animation filmmakers. And while some insiders suggested to TheWrap that Dan Lin, who took over from outgoing film chairman Scott Stuber earlier this year, was unhappy with the deal, others familiar with the matter said that Lin and Lasseter are in regular conversation about the upcoming animation slate.

The movie business is a vast, complicated beast. Unless you're on the inside at a Hollywood studio, it can be difficult to wrap one's head around. Even then, it can still be perplexing as it's an ever-evolving maze. The key is that it is ultimately a business based on utilizing the art of filmmaking to try and turn a profit. The biggest part of the equation, now and pretty much always, is the box office.
Though certainly not the only measure of a movie's success, oftentimes, the number of tickets sold versus what it cost to make is the element that determines whether we classify a movie as a hit or not. It's relatively basic math, even though the math is often anything but simple. Just look at a movie like "Bohemian Rhapsody," which the studio claimed lost $51 million despite pulling in more than $900 million at the global box office...

In the 23 years since the Best Animated Feature category was introduced at the Oscars, Pixar has dominated, racking up an impressive 11 wins from 18 nominations; its last victory was in 2021 for “Soul.” Walt Disney Studios has four trophies to show for its lucky 13 nominations while DreamWorks has gone 2 for 14, including the first-ever Oscar awarded for Best Animated Feature, which went to “Shrek.” Studio Ghibli also has a pair of prizes, and is the reigning champ with “The Boy and the Heron.” (Scroll down for the most up-to-date 2025 Oscar predictions for Best Animated Feature.)
That marked the second win for Japanese auteur Hayao Miyazaki, who had prevailed for “Spirited Away” 22 years earlier. Updated: Animation domination continues at the global and international box office with Universal/Illumination’s Despicable Me 4 leading the pack this frame, and Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out 2 still positively on fire after five sessions. At the same time, we’re seeing encouraging numbers for all major titles in release. And that’s a great thing; yes, there is reason to be positive.
Already this week, Inside Out 2 became Pixar’s highest grossing movie ever globally, and the Despicable Me/Minions franchise became the first animated franchise to reach $5B global. Neither of the current films in release are close to done. To wit: DM4 still has Japan, Korea and Italy on deck.
IO2, meanwhile, is going to Japan on August 1 — and that market may just help propel the Pixar sequel past Frozen 2 to become the biggest animated film of all time worldwide.

One of Walt Disney World’s oldest attractions is about to get a brand new facelift after five decades. The Country Bear Jamboree has been operating at the Main Kingdom since opening day on October 1st, 1971. The musical animatronic show was based on the Disneyland attraction of the same name (which closed in 2001). However, with the show becoming less popular over time, Disney is seeking to rejuvenate interest with a new theme.
The Country Bear Musical Jamboree will see the colorful cast of characters go from singing their own playlist to covers of various Disney film songs. Each song is sung by a specific set of characters, and each is given a country twist.
Full Song List:
– “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” (Five Bear Rugs)
– “Try Everything” from Zootopia
– “Kiss the Girl” from The Little Mermaid (Romeo McGrowl)
– “A Whole New World” from Aladdin (Wendell & Teddi Barra)
– “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” from Mary Poppins...

D23 is just weeks away. It will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center from August 9 to 11, 2024. Now, we have a look at the scheduled event lineup, including the big theme park one that everyone looks forward to.
Before we look at the full schedule, let’s look at the centerpiece panel that focuses on the Disney experiences and announcements for the parks.
This year, that panel is called Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase.
The panel will take place on Saturday, August 10, at the Honda Center.
Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, will present updates about projects in development. Hopefully, this year, we will get some actual announcements.
“Join us on Saturday, August 10, at 7:00 p.m. at the Honda Center for an immersive celebration of Disney Experiences around the world. Accompanied by a special lineup of musical numbers, surprise appearances, and a few familiar faces, Disney Experiences...

The Country Bears have had a makeover. The long-running Country Bear Jamboree attraction at Walt Disney World in Florida is reopening this month after being dark for six months, with a familiar look but a new name, a new script and a new score made up mostly of classic Disney songs sung by Americana musicians including Mac McAnally, Allison Russell, Chris Thile and Emily Ann Roberts.
The newly renamed “Country Bear Musical Jamboree” now has McAnally, a country singer-songwriter who is most widely known for being a decades-long mainstay of Jimmy Buffett’s band, serving as the producer and arranger of all the musical material for the revamped attraction. He also sings country-fied versions of “Bare Necessities” (from “The Jungle Book”) and “Fixer-Upper” (from “Frozen”) as a member of the voice cast.

Disney’s new version of the Country Bear Jamboree, the “Country Bear Musical Jamboree,” debuted today for some people ahead of its official opening on July 17. With recent Disney “refreshes,” I expect the worst but hope for the best. But this one isn’t terrible.
I am a Disney purist, so take that as you will, but even I could see that the “Country Bear Jamboree” needed a major refresh, and I didn’t want to see it leave Frontierland or be replaced with “Toy Story.” Since Disney CEO Bob Iger is on a quest to see how much IP he can shove into every park, I was concerned about using newer Disney songs.
The good!
The animatronics look fantastic! They looked pretty dingy and old before the refresh and now they look great.
All our old favorites were back!

We finally have the reopening date of the new Country Bear Musical Jamboree show at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Guests will be welcomed back to Grizzly Hall on July 17, 2024.
The new show will be very IP-heavy, featuring popular Disney songs instead of the quirky originals that it used to have.
So far, we know that songs like “Bare Necessities” from The Jungle Book, “Try Everything” from Zootopia, and “A Whole New World” from Aladdin will be performed in the new show by country singers Mac Anally, Emily Ann Roberts, Allison Russel, and Chris Thile.
While the songs and costumes are new, the classic bears will remain.
Stop by Grizzy Hall on July 17 to catch the newest show. I’m sure the theater will be the fullest it’s been in a while.
What do you think? Comment and let us know!

In the run up to Annecy Animation Film Festival, French studio Gaumont has appointed Sébastien Rossi as creative director for its Kids & Family division, and unveiled a flurry of new shows.
Rossi, who was previously head of CG at the company, will take part in the development and production of internationally-driven series and movies from France and Europe under his new role. He will report to Terry Kalagian, head of Gaumont Animation.
The executive has two decades of experience in the fields of animation and special effects. His credits as CG and vfx supervisor include Snd’s “Asterix: le domaine des dieux,” “Arcane” from Fortiche / Riot, Netflix and “Zombillenium” from Maybe Movies. He also worked on big titles from llumination McGuff (“Despicable Me 2”), Mikros Animation and TeamTO.
Kalagian said Rossi “has already proved himself as a fantastic and generous creative leader” and added that Gaumont Animation will benefit from his “vision and expertise.

Netflix Animation held its first slate preview event June 6 at the Tudum in L.A., as a lead-up to the Annecy Animation Festival (June 9-15), where it will premiere Shannon Tindle’s “Ultraman: Rising” (streaming June 14) and tout some of its upcoming works in 2024 and 2025.
Hosted by Christopher Sean (the voice star of “Ultraman: Rising”), attendees were treated to exclusive presentations, previews, and special announcements. The biggest announcement was the full title of Aardman’s next stop-motion feature, “Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl,” which will have an Oscar-qualifying run this winter before streaming in 2025.
Directed by franchise creator Nick Park and creative director Merlin Crossingham, who offered a pre-recorded introduction, “Vengeance Most Fowl” marks the return of the villainous penguin, Feathers McGraw, from the Oscar-winning short “The Wrong Trousers.” The film is a cautionary tale of high-tech gone wrong involving an out-of-control “smart gnome” with a mind of its own.

Skydance Animation is getting into business with Oscar-winning filmmaker Don Hall.
Hall, known for such Disney movies as Big Hero 6 and the original Moana, has closed a deal with the company. The pact will see him create, develop and produce an original animated feature for Skydance, although project details are not currently available.
The filmmaker launched his career with Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he worked on such features as Tarzan (1999), The Emperor’s New Groove (2000) and Chicken Little (2005). Later, he was credited as head of story on Meet the Robinsons (2007) and The Princess and the Frog (2009) before directing the animated musical movie Winnie the Pooh (2011).
Hall directed the 2014 Disney film Big Hero 6, in addition to serving as executive producer for its Disney+ spinoff series Baymax! He earned an Oscar alongside fellow director Chris Williams and producer Roy Conli when the title prevailed for best animated feature at the 2015 Academy Awards ceremony.

Do androids dream of electric sheep? A better question: What if their R.E.M. cycles were filled with the same wish-fulfillment scenarios and sweaty-palm nightmares that the rest of us have, as thoughts of love and loneliness and hopes and fears danced through their metallic heads?
Based on Sarah Varon’s 2007 graphic novel, Pablo Berger’s Robot Dreams treats that idea as a given — one of this animated masterpiece’s main characters is, after all, a mechanical being designed to be a loyal companion, even if some initial assembly is required.

So it’s been long established that the Summer season is the “go-to” release time for animated features (along with the year-end holidays). Kids are out of school and parents need an air-conditioned refuge for the whole family. This season has begun at the multiplex with a fully CGI’d version of the “funny papers” feline, and we’ll soon get an ’emotional” reunion with a Pixar sequel and another visit from Gru and his minions. Ah, but “in between” we’re getting treated to something special and somewhat unique as it’s not part of a franchise, rather it’s based on an acclaimed graphic novel. Plus it’s done in the “classic” animation style, often referred to as 2D, much like the “hand-drawn” shorts and features (and TV shows) of the past. Oh, and it’s an Oscar nominee…from last year. Yes, it was one of the...

How far will they go this time around?
On Wednesday, Disney released the first teaser for “Moana 2,” the studio’s anticipated sequel to the blockbuster hit “Moana.” The animated film – which was originally designed as a television series for Disney+ before being turned into a feature project and dated for this year – once again stars Auli’i Cravalho as the title character and Dwayne Johnson as the outlandish demigod Maui.
Here’s the logline, provided by Disney: Moana and Maui reunite three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

The first trailer for Moana 2 has just dropped (via Toonado.com) ahead of the sequel's release in theaters this November.
This sneak peek doesn't give too much away about the story, though we see that Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) will be heading on a new adventure which reunites her with the demigod Maui (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson).
It was only in February when Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed plans for a Moana sequel. While the news generated excitement among Disney Animation fans, it felt like the movie came out of nowhere.
It was in 2020 when we first learned of plans for a Moana sequel TV series on Disney+. The idea was for it to serve as a loose follow-up in the same way as the streamer's Big Hero 6, Zootopia, and Up sequels. So, what changed?

Aloha, Moana. (The hello kind.)
Disney released a teaser trailer (below) for “Moana 2” on May 29. Our princess of Motunui is still out there voyaging, still drumming with her dead ancestors, still battling coconuts — it honestly just looks like additional “Moana” footage. That’s not automatically a bad thing. Also, it’s not yet the trailer trailer, so we’ll cut it a break — especially considering the feature film’s own origin story.
“Moana 2” was originally planned as a Disney+ series. Well, upgrade. Now a proper sequel, “Moana 2” welcomes back Auli’i Cravalho (as Moana), Dwayne Johnson as Maui, Nicole Scherzinger as Sina, and Temuera Morrison as Chief Tai.
Also an “upgrade” is Maui’s “boat snack” — the pig, Pua, has joined Heihei the chicken on Moana’s boat. Johnson gets the big joke of the teaser trailer: “Bacon and eggs!?! Why didn’t you bring the pig last time?...

See the line where the sky meets the sea? In 2016, audiences heeded the call of "Moana," capping off a fantastic year for Disney Animation that also saw eventual Best Animated Feature Film Oscar winner "Zootopia" top over a billion dollars at the box office. Closing in on a decade later, however, the House That Mickey Built has fallen on harder times after suffering one of its costliest box office misfires ever with "Strange World" and releasing what was intended to be the crown jewel in its 100th-anniversary celebration, "Wish," to middling reviews and even worse financial returns. It's under these circumstances that Bob Iger, fresh off having un-retired from his position as Disney's CEO, has announced further adventures with both the furry members of the Zootopia Police Department (Zpd) and the studio's beloved Pacific Islander princess.

Disneyland is about to get bigger after the Anaheim City Council unanimously voted to approve the project, allowing Disney to move forward with the $1.9 billion expansion.
While most of the proposed expansion area is currently parking or underutilized, some of the approved area is currently taken up by roads that will be shut down. This was a point of contention for some area residents.
Disney wants to add more theme park attractions alongside the hotels on part of Disneyland Drive and new shopping and entertainment areas in the Toy Story Parking lot. The new zoning will take effect in 30 days.
Under the agreement, Disney must spend at least $1.9 billion on the Disneyland expansion within the next ten years. Disney will also give $30 million towards affordable housing within the next five years, $15 million of which will be given in year one and the remaining $15 million to be paid in five years.

The Anaheim City Council gave final approval today to DisneylandForward, the $1.9 billion, Disney’s multi-decade expansion plan for Walt’s original park. Today’s 7-0 procedural vote came after a unanimous vote approving the project in April. The zoning and other changes laid out by the plan to take effect in 30 days.
Those changes include zoning that will allow mixed use development where it does not exist now. The proposal allows the redeployment of some 57 acres of parking and unused land. Artists’ renderings of the plans provided by Disney, while conceptual, show one major development to the west of the current parks near the Disneyland Hotel and another to the southeast of California Adventure. Both plots are currently dedicated mostly to parking.
That would allow theme park attractions alongside hotels on the west side of Disneyland Drive. See rendering below.

It was not the summer box office start that many (myself included) were hoping for. Universal's "The Fall Guy" debuted with just $27.7 million domestically despite earning very good reviews, making for the worst start to the summer movie season in decades. But hope emerged in the form of one of cinema's most cherished franchises as "Star Wars: The Phantom Menace" returned to theaters in honor of its 25th anniversary. An old hope, if you will. This once-maligned prequel to George Lucas' beloved sci-fi series helped make up the difference and made its way into the history books. Again.
"The Phantom Menace" re-release brought in $8.7 million domestically over the weekend, which was good enough to land at number two on the charts behind "Fall Guy" and ahead of the previous week's champion "Challengers" ($7.5 million). Internationally, "Episode I" added an additional $6.4 million for a global re-opening of $15.1 million. That's quite a...

Bob Iger wants you to marvel more at his Marvel films and series. To make them better, he’s making fewer.
On Tuesday, the Disney CEO said Marvel is going to decrease its volume to “probably about two TV series a year” and 2-3 movies annually.
“We’ve been working hard with the studio to reduce output and focus on quality,” Iger said on Disney’s fiscal second quarter (Q2) earnings call. “That’s particularly true with Marvel.”
“We’re slowly going to decrease volume and go to probably about two TV series a year instead of what had become four, and reduce our film output from maybe four a year to two— a maximum of three,” he continued.
Cool, so what you got? Iger said Marvel has “a couple of good films in [2025], and then we’re heading to more ‘Avengers,’ which we’re extremely excited about.”

After debuting early last weekend, Universal’s The Fall Guy expanded to 78 overseas markets during its sophomore session, adding $25.4M for a running total of $36.9M at the international box office. That’s in line with Bullet Train and above The Lost City at the same point in release. Globally, the David Leitch-directed action romance is at $65.4M.
This is a fun picture with positive scores and exits so there’s hope for some legs here and playability throughout upcoming holidays. Still, an expensive movie, it came in slightly below projections domestically.
Internationally, the UK was a No. 1 debut with a strong $4.4M from 1,400 screens. Odeon was the top-performing circuit, and Everyman registered a 9% share, 3.1 points higher than their average for the year. Performance across 51 IMAX screens made up 7.6% of the total. The weekend result is well above Bullet Train and The Lost City. Monday is a holiday.
Mexico opened to $2.5M at No.

Disney has just revealed a special look at the statues of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde coming to the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Treasure. These statues will be part of the new sweet shop onboard called Jumbeaux’s Sweets.

The two characters can be seen in the Disney concept art for the shop.
Jumbeaux’s Sweets will be based on the Jumbeax Cafe from the Zootopia film and will serve more than 35 flavors of handmade gelato, sorbets, and ice cream. Guests can also find candies and other sweet treats.
The store looks so cute! I love the bubblegum pink colors and Victorian-esqu design, wainscoting, and wallpaper. It’s super cute and cheerful!

Almost ten years after its release, Zootopia’s story isn’t over yet — having become a $1B phenomenon with the highest ratings, the movie made it pretty clear that it needed to seize the moment.
Back in 2023, it became official that a sequel for one of Disney’s biggest hits was coming to the screens pretty soon — and now seems like it’s been some time since the production started.
Right now Zootopia 2 is set to be released on November 26, 2025, but, despite being more than a year away from hitting the cinemas, the animated comedy is already in the works.
Around a week ago Ginnifer Goodwin, who voices rabbit Judy Hopps, shared two behind-the-scenes photos that seemingly feature her preparation for daily work on the movie.
The first photo shows Goodwin wearing a rabbit ear headband and a tiny Judy Hopps-shaped purse while also holding a Zootopia-coded cup...
