If there's one word that can be apt to define Joe, it's decent. For a film involving college life and youth, it is a very mindful film that gets its political messaging right. It treats its female characters with respect, and even when its protagonist uses verbal abuse, he's quickly corrected.
While watching the movie, I didn't feel lazy at all, and I didn't think it had any bad aspects. The acting is excellent, and the music is fantastic. The movie is going to touch your heart and might even try to bring tears to your eyes.
