Rookie detective Ichiko Hanamori goes on her first assignment with her colleagues from Section 13, Murder Investigation Division. A man is murdered, but Ichiko's super sense of smell can only detect the scents of her colleagues, the police commissioner and the victim at the crime scene. If the killer wasn't the commissioner, then he must have been one of her colleagues in Section 13, but who?

Ichiko, now nicknamed 'Wanko', discovers a body. She finds the perpetrator in double-quick time but the only evidence she has is the criminal's scent. Can she persuade her colleagues to place their trust in her nose before the killer plants a bomb at the local school?
