Season 1, Episode 13
Oliver Stone's PLATOON, the Richard Gere film NO MERCY and the re-release of THE LADY AND THE TRAMP are the film's reviewed this week on Siskel & Ebert. There's also a special portion that is devoted to the popularity of Eddie Murphy. Fans of the series will find a lot to enjoy here including the expanded discussion on the Stone picture. There's also a good debate when it comes to NO MERCY as Ebert gave it a positive review whereas Siskel really hated it. Then we also learn that this was the first time Ebert had ever watched THE LADY AND THE TRAMP. All in all this was a fun episode with a lot of good discussion and the piece on Murphy was good as well.
