No pun intended - the short movie is technically speaking as good as it gets. The mood it creates - also quite great to say the least. There is not much substance when it comes to the story part - at least I do not get the impression we get much of a backstory to the characters. We do not know what happened to them or why their relationship is what it is.
What is it though? Because even that may be quite unclear. But let's not "focus" on the negative - because I think whoever made this has a bright future - or can have one if they decide to go on. And of course are given the opportunity to do so.
There is more good here than bad - even if may never know why someone would go on thin ice in the first place (also not sure how that would work cold wise and all) ... but it is a movie after all. So treat it like one too ... and be good to each other, helping and all that.
