At the end of the director's version, after Gábor has left Szikszai, in a scene a few months later, we see that Gábor is now sitting in a pub as a bearded man, watching TV, in which Hanna is talking about the successful operation. Then we can hear Gábor's monologue, which we can hear in the movie version after leaving Szikszai.
