The story begins with Alan singing in his school choir. Up until then, you had no idea Alan liked to sing and this can only mean that singing will be an important part of the episode. Soon a group of older thugs from his school approach him, asking him to join their doo wop singing group. This means a chance to hang with the cool kids and Alan jumps at it...even though these cool kids are also juvenile delinquents. Soon Alan is behaving very atypically....copping an attitude, skipping classes and being a jerk. Is there any hope for the boy or is he destined to be a Bond villain?!
This is a decent episode (I particularly liked the ending) but I did find it strange that Alan had a rather thin voice...not bad in a choir but hardly the sort of thing to bring him fame as a singer. Still, the episode is worth seeing.
