Trivia
The character of Lurch the butler was originally not supposed to have any lines at all in the series. However, in the pilot, when the bell rang to summon him, Ted Cassidy ad-libbed the famous line, "You rang?". The line got a wave of laughter from the crew, and Lurch was given that line to say in almost every show (as well as the usual complement of grunts, growls and even some actual lines of dialog every so often).

Goofs
Throughout the episode, Wednesday's hairstyle changes - sometimes multiple times in a single scene - from braids to a double-ponytail style held with multiple bands and back.

Fine introduction. A warm embrace to everyone who feels like they don't belong.

Great comfort viewing. A warm embrace for all those kids who felt like they didn't fit in, for unconventional adults who see great beauty where others can't. The gags are silly but still funny. Arthur Hiller is fine director and does a wonderful job with the cameras. The chemistry between the cast is on point and the house is full of character thanks to an array of oddities scattered throughout every scene.
