After running away from the Ant tribe, Dan finds himself alone in the forest. Zora tries to contain her second-in-command, who does not trust Sky. At the Ant camp, Omar is happy that Sky and Dan have both left. In the Privileged tribe, Shadow prepares the Warps for an attack on the Ant camp. Shadow advises that they will be ready in one week, but Flame wants the attack to happen the very next day.
During his strict training process, Flame searches for a suitable sparring partner as preparations continue for the attack on the Ant tribe. Gwyn tries to settle into her life as a Privileged but can't help missing her brother. The Ants learn that the Warps have tricked them. Cass and Omar try to convince a reluctant Faygar to meet with Zora. Dan attempts to join the Barbs.
Now in control of the Privileged tribe, Harmony panics when she discovers she has a spot. That is not the perfection she demands in everyone, let alone herself. Sky and Dan arrive back at the Ant camp with the Stranger as a prisoner and all the items he stole. Faygar is concerned about the prophecies and prays for guidance, as the Stranger begins to make ominous patterns with grain.
Representatives of the mysterious Bird tribe arrive at the Privileged complex to meet with Harmony, causing uneasiness to arise when their leader claims that the Birds always "take whatever they want." Dan and Erin plan a journey to the forbidden zone to see if they can obtain more information to interpret the true meaning of Faygar's prophecies.
Flame is uneasy that the Stranger's presence might foretell their doom. Zora tries to calm Faygar down, but everyone is not entirely convinced that the Stranger poses no threat. Omar and Kwarli look for a way to escape their Privileged cell, while Leanne and Erin find a small machine that comes to life and seems to pursue them into the Ant camp.
The mysterious Stranger lashes out when Erin touches one of the stones the Stranger is using to build a small tower that bears a significant resemblance to a group of rocks in the forbidden zone. The Ants and Barbs agree that they cannot trust Sunni or Harmony, and ultimately decide on an unexpected resolution with the Bird tribe, as the very future of all concerned is under a very real threat.
