Trivia
Although many characters in the movie had appeared in earlier Pipo TV serials, they all obviously had to be recast since the actors had died or became too old to play the part. The only exception was Snuf, who was still played by Rudi Falkenhagen after all these years.

Must see for the younger ones

I bought this DVD some time ago because I have a 3 year old niece who likes this stuff. Normally she is a big fan of the old Pipi Longstocking-series (Pipi Langkous in the Netherlands) but I gave this one a try. And I can tell you it was a big hit! It is a bright movie with few scary moments (and it never gets too scared). The characters are funny, especially for the younger ones and the jokes and music is also very attractive for children.

Conclusion: This clearly is not a movie for adults alone, but if you have younger kids this is the movie to see. I gave it a good '9' because I reviewed this movie through the eyes of my niece. So buy it for your children, niece or neighbor kids and you will enjoy it with them.
