One of the few animated series in which the characters change clothes from day to day as opposed to wearing the same outfit in each episode (although they only have a few outfits each).
Each episode, the pizza place has a different theme.
According to TV Guide The Weekenders was "the show that killed Pokémon," after it beat Pokémon (1997) to Number 1 after Pokémon held the title for 54 consecutive weeks. The Weekenders aired on ABC and Pokémon on The WB, both on Saturday mornings at 10am.
Kath Soucie and Grey Griffin also starred together as voice actors in the Clifford the Big Red Dog (2000), as Jetta and Emily Elizabeth respectively.
