I must say this is a very creative show with animation by Nelvana in Canada and live-action Muppets by The JIm Henson Company in the US. It's about the Muppet dog Eliot Shag, who is the animator, animating his own cartoon about the detective dog Ace Hart. Characters and situations happening in the Dog City are inspired by situations happening to Eliot and by other dogs in his life, for example Ace Hart is idealised alter-ego of Eliot himself; Rosie O'Gravy is inspired by Coleen, Eliot's neighbour that is also his girlfriend (Coleen was later replaced by Terri); Eddie is inspired by Artie, a puppy friend of Eliot; etc. Like the title says, it's set in the city of anthropomorphic dogs (and some occasional cats, probably immigrants, who knows?). In each episode Ace Hart has to solve a criminal problem based on Eliot's situation. Villains are also great, such as Bugsy Vile and his henchmen or Baron von Rottweiler. This show is full of comedy as well, and also Ace and Eliot can interact with each other by breaking the fourth wall when something doesn't feel right. I had a lot of laughs while watching it. It's really fun, I recommend it to anyone. To be honest, this show deserves more popularity and recognition. I can see that people that were working on it put a lot of effort.
