This is a charming romantic comedy from Hong Kong that is almost on par with the best picture winner An Autumn's Tale. Here, Tony Leung and Veronica Yup star as two very different people in the city who are drawn together as they struggle to overcome hardships to find truth in their hearts.
The screenplay by Alex Law and Chi-Yeuh Low was captivating as it makes you eager to follow the story and has moments that capture your heart, including the ambiance and atmosphere surrounding the rooftop (a significant place based on the movie's title). The chemistry between Leung and Yip are touching, with great direction by Tony Au.
In addition to the drama and romance, there are bits of humor, and lightheartedness in the story and make you relate to the substantial characters. There are also quite a bit of plot twists and surprises to make this a very distinguished romantic tale.
