This is the story of a young girl (Sofia Dionisio) who leaves her strict convict school to return to her family estate and finds herself embroiled in the sexual shenanigans of her over-sexed relatives before finally falling for a handsome neighbor (Nino Castelnouvo).
You would be forgiven for thinking this is one of the countless goofball Italian sex comedies of the 70's featuring Gloria Guida as a "liceale" (high school girl) or Edwige Fenech as an "insegnante" (teacher) with Italian funny-men like Alvaro Vitali, Lino Banfi, and Renzo Montagnini in various roles. None of these actors is in this though, and while this movie has some of these goofball, slapstick elements to it, it also mines a darker strain of Italian comedy associated with Salvatore Samperi's seminal "Malizia". It actually reminded me of one of the earliest Gloria Guida films "La Minorienne" which has pretty much the same plot and also has a tone that shifts freely from screwball sex comedy to something slightly darker and more perverse.
The comedy is provided mostly by the grossly overweight Franco Diogenes ("Strip Nude for Your Killer") as the family patriarch who spies on a group of romano hippies living next door and gets mixed up in some kind of scheme with them. There's also Femi Benussi as a nymphomaniacal aunt who will sleep with anybody--and I do mean ANBODY. Martha Katherin, who I THINK is supposed to be Dionisio's mother (even though she looks to be the exact same age), has a darker more "Malizia"-type role. She is having an affair with the gardener and winds up getting sexually blackmailed by her own creepy nephew, but eventually turns the tables on him. Dionisio herself meanwhile is absolutely beautiful (she's the younger sister of the equally gorgeous Silvia Dionisio from "Wave of Lust" and the one-time sister-in-law of "Cannibal Holocaust" director Ruggiero Deodato), but she doesn't command the screen the way Edwige Fenech and Gloria Guida do, and she remains a pretty but passive centerpiece. (The busty actress is also not remotely believable as a school-age girl, but that's par for the course). Dionisio and the never-to-be-seen-again Katherin have some nice nude scenes, but as a sexpot NOBODY can outdo Femi Benussi. The scene where she takes a LONG sponge bath in a barn for some reason while every guy in town tries to spy on her through two peepholes is memorable, as is the scene where she does a striptease for some very unattractive local yokels.
Of course, it's a pretty stupid movie and only available in Italian with no subtitles, but, hey, if you like these things. . .
