Goofy and entertaining tongue-in-cheek spaghetti Western . Funny but average film with noisy action , struggles, and shootouts by the expert professional Bruno Corbucci . This Spanish-Italian co-production deals with a likable man Dart Jr. (Timothy Brent , aka Giancarlo Priete) who leaves his home in Cheese Valley to win glory as a Texas Ranger . He looks for his father's friends : MacAthos (George Eastman) , Aramirez (Leo Anchoriz) and Portland (Chris Huerta) known as the three inseparables musketeers of the West . Dart meets the three untrustworthy men and they help him to custody a pretty female doctor , Alice (future porno-star Karin Schubert) , to transport medicines , when she is actually smuggling gold for a Mexican dictator . All of them join forces to go to Mexico towards the city of San Fermin and along the way taking down many bad guys with their awesome fighting fists . Meanwhile, several bandits looking for the gold , being chased by bounty hunters going after the wagon . A Mexican general and his army set off in pursuit to take it from them , before they realize what are travelling on a valuable carriage . At the ending the gold turns to several hands .
This is a regular Faglioli-Spaghetti Western in Trinity and Bambino style and for that reason there is a cult to dirtiness with an appropriately goofy tone , customary issue in this sub-genre . The movie takes parts from Enzo Barboni movies such as ¨Trinity is my name¨ and ¨Trinity is still my name¨ . The film is plenty of action , fun , brawls , shootouts and surprise-filled entertainment . The picture contains funny gun-play along with fist-fight very much in the Terence Hill/Bud Spencer territory . The violence isn't crude but suits the light-weight comedy fun and silly slapstick like the Trinity series . It certainly has an enthusiastic cast , plenty of slapstick , some very impressive gymnastics , especially in the massive fight sequences . This bewildering picture gets the humorous remarks from Western parody combined to features of Spaghetti . The movie gets the usual Italian Western issues , such as greedy antiheroes , light facing off , quick zooms , exaggerated baddies , among them . The highlights of the movie result to be when there happen the hilarious saloon brawls , plenty of likable punches , kick-ass and slapping ; furthermore the silly fights between the Chinese fighters with Chen Lee -who starred ¨Shanghai Joe¨- and the four musketeers of the West . The picture displays crazy characters with twists plots and is quite amusing . It does eventually outstay its welcome , and there are a surprising amount of fights and laughters . This isn't art , it's about having a good time . And on that level it really matters, ¨Tutti Per Uno... Botte Per Tutti" (original title) or "The Three Musketeers of the West" works . The movie starred by habitual Spaghetti as Timothy Brent who performed a similar film , ¨Tedeum¨ , by Enzo G Castellari , both roles bear remarkable resemblance , here as Dart Jr steals the show with his gestures , faces and excesses and , in addition , the corpulent as well as giant George Eastman . It appears ordinary secondary actors who are habitual in Pasta Western and Peplum genre ; besides usual secondaries in Paella Western as the sympathetic Spanish actors : Leo Anchoriz , Chris Huerta , and the regular baddie Eduardo Fajardo (Sergio Corbucci's ordinary secondary) and Jose Canalejas . A really catching score musical by Carlo Rustichelli who often works with Corbucci , including an enticing leitmotif . Atmospheric cinematography filmed by Rafael Pacheco shot in Lazio, Italy and Manzanares Del Real , La Pedriza , Colmenar Viejo , Madrid and of course , Almeria , Spain . Silly screenplay with ridiculous situations written by the usual Tito Carpi , Leonardo Martin and Peter Berling who also hands a secondary character .
The motion picture was regularly directed by Bruno Corbucci, Sergio Corbucci's brother . Bruno Corbucci makes a nice camera work with usual zooms and clever choreography on the showdown , fighting , saloon brawls shootouts and bemusing scenes . Bruno wrote and directed various Hill-Spencer films as ¨Banana Joe¨ , ¨Miami Supercops¨ , ¨Par-Impar¨ , ¨Cat and Dog¨ and ¨Aladdin¨ . If you love the Hill-Spencer's movies, go for it , and if you've never seen one this is an acceptable start ; but only for Spaghetti spoof fans . This is an average entertaining juvenile that will appeal to Italian comedy buffs , it is the kind of mindless entertainment that Spaghetti Western fans love.
