Austin, Texas’ Levitation Festival has revealed the lineup for their 2024 edition, with Slowdive, The Jesus Lizard, Soccer Mommy, Tycho, and The Black Angels topping the bill.

The psych rock, shoegaze, and alternative festival goes down across four days in multiple venues throughout downtown Austin, taking place from Thursday, October 31st to Sunday, November 3rd, 2024.

Other notable acts featured on the Levitation lineup include Oh Sees (who will play all four days), Mdou Moctar, Washed Out, Drop Nineteens, The Drums, Gang of Four, Wisp, Nitzer Ebb, A Place to Bury Strangers, Nilüfer Yanya, The Sword, Dry Cleaning, Boris, Panchiko, The Chameleons, The Dare, Illuminati Hotties, and more. After record-breaking attendance of over 170,000 music fans over four days in 2023, Welcome To Rockville returns to Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida to kick off the festival season bigger and better than ever May 9-12, 2024. Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents is excited to announce the addition of a 5th music stage and 50 additional bands, bringing the total music lineup to an impressive 150 bands for Welcome To Rockville 2024.

The initial music lineup for the 13th year of Welcome To Rockville is the festival’s most powerful collection of artists yet and features an array of talent not-to-be-missed including Foo Fighters, Mötley Crüe, Slipknot, Jelly Roll, Disturbed, Limp Bizkit, Queens of the Stone Age, Judas Priest, Greta Van Fleet, Evanescence, Falling In Reverse, A Day To Remember, Breaking Benjamin, Bad Omens, The Offspring, Mudvayne, Koe Wetzel, Stone Temple Pilots, Primus, Cypress Hill, Sum 41, a rare appearance by Mr. Bungle, and many others.

Dark Force Fest, a gothic-industrial gathering that debuted earlier this year, has announced its 2024 lineup, featuring Stabbing Westward, Nitzer Ebb, and more.

The three-day event is set for April 19th through the 21st in Parsippany, New Jersey. The massive, castle-esque Sheraton Parsippany will once again play host to the fest, with its 44,000 square feet of event space and 370 attached hotel rooms.

Depeche Mode, Moby, New Order and Einstürzende Neubauten are among the artists who are performing composer John Cage’s famously tacit work, 4’33” on a new compilation. The avant-garde composer issued the work in 1952, confounding critics and musicians alike for decades by making the sound of the room the piece is “performed” in the lead instrument; musicians are asked not to play. The musicians’ new recordings of the piece will appear on STUMM433, a Mute Records compilation, and all are past or present artists on the label’s roster. It’s due out in May.
