Magalie is an award nominated and award winner actress working all over Canada. As a child, she competed in artistic gymnastics, dance (modern, hip-hop, jazz) and trained in classical & pop vocal arts. Additionally she has extensive training from various Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles acting studios.
Her short film "Falling (2023)" that she wrote, produced and starred in appeared in numerous film festivals and won many awards: 'Best Actress' thrice, 'Best Romance' twice, 'Best Romantic Short', 'Best Cinematography', 'Best Director' and 'Best Female Director'.
Moreover, she was coached in classical and contemporary vocal arts by Québec-based renowned vocal coach Manon Lefrançois and is working on various dialects with Dorothy Ward, voice and dialect coach at the Stratford Festival in Canada for four seasons. She is also a former competitive gymnast and has worked as a physical performer, stunt double, acrobat and pole dancer in commercials and Film & TV. Her recents credits includes Slant (2024), Residents of Arcadia (2023), Amish Stud (2023), A Million Little Things (2022) & Riverdale (2022).
Magalie also performed in "SARA", her "first written play and makes full use of her background in slam, dance and stunt work as she weaves and choreographs a tale of fear, violence, hope and revolt". According to theatre critic Pierre Wheeland (Cult Mtl), "SARA" was easily the best drama production he had seen at the 2018 Montreal Fringe. Magalie also played at the 2024 Montreal Fringe and premiered her first solo show titled "Homecumming", a dramedy about a woman who loses her orgasms, and herself. Written by and performed by Magalie, her play was nominated for the Frankies Awards "Most Promising Comedy" & "Most Promising Production".
In between her filming, Magalie runs her self-tape, acting & film studio Artéfakt (artefakt [dot] ca) where she teaches on-camera classes, coaches professional actors on their auditions and also produces, writes and directs stage & film productions.
