Leesa Ashley

Leesa Ashley was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. At a very young age Leesa's mom signed her up for acting and modeling helping her get cast in local commercials and talent shows. In the early 2000's Leesa found her way back to acting via training and performing in some of Baltimore's most notable local theaters. This leap encouraged her to expand her acting from stage to film and television media. So far her acting career has taken her all over the United States via stage, television and movies. In 2016 Leesa started to expand beyond acting. She joined the Baltimore Filmmakers Collective learning the many roles behind the camera. By 2019 she wrote, acted in and co-directed her first short "The Unexpected". Confident in her behind the scenes role in 2020 she co-produced the short TORI which has played at over 20 plus festivals nationally and internationally. MAMA will be her next writing, co-directing and producing gig- production is scheduled for late 2021.
