After leaving Sweden in 2000 Stefan attended the American Musical And Dramatic Academy in New York City and later graduated from The New School University with a BFA in Film Studies. His first film Miss D screened at The Court Metrage at Cannes Film Festival in 2012. He is the Creative Director and co founder at IDA Films.
Stefan in inspired by human relationships, sexuality and the typical underdog protagonist. Especially fascinated by trans culture and queer cinema.
