Palak Muchhal was born on 30 March 1992 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh,
India. Her parents, Rajkumar Muchhal and Amita Muchhal, comes from
middle class family. She started singing since age of four. In 1999 she
spent a week singing door-to-door to collect funds for Kargil war
soldiers. Since March 2000, she and her younger brother Palash Muchhal
are performing stage shows in India and abroad to raise funds for
hospitalization expense of poor children suffering from heart ailments.
Until January 2013 she had helped to save lives of 556 children. Her
charity work is acknowledged by the Government of India and other
public institution through various awards. Muchhal moved to Mumbai in
late 2006. She made her Bollywood playback singing debut with a title
song for 2011 movie Damadamm!
