As the government races to analyze the potential threat and contain the story, the 4400 themselves must grapple with the fact that they’ve been returned with a few upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were all brought back now for a specific reason.
Empathetic social worker (Joseph David-Jones) and a hardened community corrections officer (Ireon Roach) are called upon to deal with the refugees, including a lawyer and resilient young mother from the early aughts (Brittany Adebumola), her...

Ireon Roach has been performing since she was a child and now tackles her first role as a regular in a major television series -- parole officer Keisha in The CW's reboot of the sci-fi series 4400.
We caught up with Ireon to get insight into her character and what's in store for the 4400.
Check out our interview below!
Mary Littlejohn: I've loved 4400 so far. What drew you to the show, and how did you become involved?
Ireon Roach: The cast all make fun of me because I never called myself the biggest fan of science fiction. But upon receiving this audition request, reading more about it, diving into the original 4400, and seeing how they were thinking about reworking that story, I got very excited.
I was excited to have black people exist in sci-fi, without it being a lesson, without it being painful for them, and to have joy -- to just exist!

The Voice is back at the top of Monday primetime just a week after losing its streak to Dancing With The Stars and 9-1-1. Monday’s episode, which saw Ed Sheeran perform Mega Mentor duties, earned a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo and 6.91 million viewers. The latest episode was up two tenths in demo rating and approximately 11% in viewers from the previous.
When it comes to The Voice’s return to the top, it’s worth noting that the usual suspects of Monday primetime were somewhat out of sorts. NCIS on CBS, which has consistently topped Monday viewers in the past weeks, showed a repeat episode. Meanwhile, Fox saw a bit of a programming reshuffle as The Masked Singer filled 9-1-1′s normal place in the 9 p.m. hour.
Dancing with the Stars was the second-highest-rated program of the night and drew in 4.55 million viewers, down from last week.

The 4400 are back with The CW’s reboot of the USA Network sci-fi drama, which once again finds thousands of missing persons deposited in the future.
Among the “overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized” abductees in Monday’s series premiere are: Shanice (Grand Army‘s Brittany Adebumola), a lawyer who leaves behind her husband and baby in 2005; Claudette (Chicago P.D. guest star Jaye Ladymore), a civil rights activist from Mississippi; WWI doctor Andre (Tl Thompson), fresh from the Harlem Renaissance; Reverend Isaiah (Call Your Mother guest star Derrick A. With the return of the 4400, everything old is new again.
On 4400 Season 1 Episode 1, thousands of marginalized people show up in flashes of green light, leaving the government bewildered as to what to do with them.
But wait, you're not just getting time-travel -- you're also getting superheroes!
It's impossible to look at a reboot of The 4400 without comparing it to the first series.
It's so vastly different in tone. Even the look is different. The first version was bleak, featuring the muted tones of cloudy Seatlle (filmed in Vancouver). This 4400 is vibrant and alive, with music and bright colors popping off the screen.
It does feel a little strange to start the story of the 4400 over again. The original yarn was well-spun, and the ending was a cliffhanger. It was a casualty of many issues, chiefly the 2007 Writer's Strike.
But seeing the intention behind the use of the premise,...

In the original “The 4400,” characters who’d long been missing suddenly return from an unknown alternate dimension, all at once. As the title suggests, the group of returned individuals numbers some 4,400 strong. The franchise itself now does something similar: After leaving USA Network in 2007, the show returns, having shed an article in its title — it’s just “4400” now — and picked up a lightness of touch that feels breezy and fresh.
In its CW incarnation, “4400” promises drama without heaviness, and the pilot sets up various story points without feeling too portentous. One plotline concerns the government response, with a social worker (Joseph David-Jones) and corrections officer (Ireon Roach) working together in the midst of a government response we increasingly see as punitive. Elsewhere, Shanice (Brittany Adebumola), who was ripped away from her husband and daughter in the early 2000s, finds that they’ve moved on, and grown up,...

When executives at CBS Studios decided to dust off the not-too-distant IP of “The 4400,” a four-season drama about a group of people who were plucked from different places and time periods and returned at once, it was good news for Ariana Jackson.
Jackson wasn’t the first producer to tackle such a project — a previous attempt at a reboot was made in 2018 by Taylor Elmore and Craig Sweeny. But as a fan, she knew the intricacies of the original series, which premiered in 2004 on USA Network. Jackson teamed with Anna Fricke, who previously successfully rebooted “Walker, Texas Ranger,” to propel her version forward.
The CW ordered “4400” straight to series in February. It bows Oct. 25, with Sunil Nayar joining Jackson to serve as co-showrunner.
They key to cracking their version of the story, Jackson tells Variety, was not to worry about whether the original already tackled a particular piece of story.

When 4400 missing persons suddenly reappear with no explanation, extraterrestrials become the prime suspect for what’s behind it all in TVLine’s exclusive trailer for The CW’s reboot of the former USA Network series.
It’s a natural theory, seeing as how one of the vanished is suddenly sucked out of her car by a strange force in 2005, while another resurfaces in 2021 with healing abilities. But even if aliens are responsible, the returnees have a more pressing problem: They’re being held as prisoners by the authorities.

After the pandemic forced The CW to hold much of its original programming until midseason and left the fall stacked with mostly acquisitions and imports, the youngest-skewing broadcast network is coming back strong in the 2021-2022 season with a lineup that shakes up every single night of the week except one. Two series based on well-known franchises are moving ahead at The CW.
The network's live-action Powerpuff Girls adaptation has added Scrubs alum Donald Faison to its cast, according to Deadline.
“Quirky, debonair, and a pinch narcissistic, Professor Drake is a scientific genius who is immensely proud of the three extraordinary girls he created in his lab,” reads the official character breakdown.
“Staring down a midlife crisis, he is determined to repair his relationships with his now-adult daughters.”
The series, now titled Powerpuff, was first announced as being in development back in August.
Based on the Cartoon Network series created by Craig McCracken, the new take sees the pint-sized superheroes as disillusioned twentysomethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime-fighting.
Will they agree to reunite now that the world needs them more than ever?
Powerpuff will reintroduce us to Blossom (played by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

In the show, 4400 overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people who vanished without a trace over the last hundred years are all returned in an instant, having not aged a day and with no memory of what happened to them. As the government races to analyze the potential threat and contain the story, the 4400 themselves must grapple with the fact that they’ve been returned with a few upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were all brought back now for a specific reason.
David-Jones will play Rev Johnson, who was raised in a powerful and affluent church family, and disappeared in the 1990s. While he is a man of true faith and compassion, he is accustomed to the power and clout afforded his position.

The CW’s reimagining of 2004 USA Network sci-fi drama series The 4400 has brought in its first cast members. Arrow alum Joseph David-Jones and newcomer Khailah Johnson have joined the project, which has a straight-to-series order and has shortened its title to 4400. (The CW also abbreviated the title to its Powerpuff Girls reboot to Powerpuff.)
In the new version, 4400 overlooked, undervalued, or otherwise marginalized people — two of them played by David-Jones and Johnson — who vanished without a trace over the last hundred years are all returned in an instant, having not aged a day and with no memory of what happened to them. As the government races to analyze the potential threat and contain the story, the 4400 themselves must grapple with the fact that they’ve been returned with a few…upgrades, and the increasing likelihood that they were all brought back now for a specific reason.

Hey "Arrow" fans. Unfortunately, we have some very bad news for you guys in this article. It turns out that The CW will not be airing the brand new episode 5 of your favorite show tonight for some unknown reason. Here's the good news. The delay will only be for this week and not multiple weeks. The CW is scheduled to air the new, 5th episode of this current final season 8 next Tuesday night, November 19, 2019 at approximately 8 pm central standard time. So, definitely be sure to jot down that very important date on your TV show calendars. So, what will the CW be airing instead of the new episode 5 tonight, November 12, 2019? According to the TV guide listings, The CW will actually be airing an episode of Arrow tonight. It just won't be a new one. They're airing a repeat of the premiere episode 1 of this current season 8. That episode is titled,...

The familiar faces just keep on returning. In previous episodes, we’ve seen the comebacks of Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell), Thea Queen (Willa Holland) and several more, and in the next installment of Arrow season 8, Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) will put in an appearance for the first time in this final season of the show. What’s more, he’ll be suiting up in his Arsenal outfit once again.
The photos down below reveal that Roy has been living incognito, working as a mechanic and going by the name “Jason” – a nod to fellow red-themed superhero sidekick Jason Todd, perhaps. Diggle tracks him down, though, and apparently recruits him to help out on a mission. Meanwhile, Oliver and his grown-up kids will infiltrate a fight club, an investigation which looks to – unsurprisingly – turn violent.

When the producers behind Arrow said Oliver Queen would be replaying his greatest hits during the eighth and final season, they weren’t kidding around. So far, we’ve seen generous tribute paid to seasons 1 and 3, with more nods to the past undoubtedly out of the way.
That being said, it only makes sense that Ollie and the gang head back to Russia in a matter of weeks. After all, his history with the Bratva is crucial to his background, not to mention how season 5’s flashback segments were largely set in that particular country.
Having reiterated that, here’s what’s set to go down in “Prochnost”:
Don’T Let Your Past Define You – Upon learning the key to oppose The Monitor (guest star Lamonica Garrett), Oliver (Stephen Amell) and team return to Russia on a mission to gather the necessary materials. Diggle (David Ramsey) reunites with a figure from his past.

Arrow‘s 2040 timeline has revealed its own Deathstroke, and beneath the marauder’s mask is the face of no less than John Diggle and Lyla Michaels’ biological son, John Jr. aka JJ. How did the apple fall so far from the tree? And is JJ truly ruthless enough to slay Mia’s brother William or any other member of Future Team Arrow — stepbrother Connor (Joseph David-Jones) included?
The second episode of Arrow‘s farewell run left us with that question, as JJ aimed to “rip the heart out” of the Unification movement by targeting its members, William (Ben Lewis) included.

Without a doubt, Arrow will leave a void in both The CW’s prime time schedule and our hearts once it concludes in a matter of months, but it’ll live on in another fashion. As you may have heard, a spinoff in the form of Green Arrow and the Canaries is being primed, and it’s set to star Katherine McNamara, Katie Cassidy Rodgers and Juliana Harkavy as Mia Smoak, Laurel Lance and Dinah Drake, respectively.
From the sound of it, David Ramsey may very well join them as John Diggle at some point. Based on some of his recent comments, he’s far from ready to give up his hold on the character, and who could blame him? Even if the series that originally introduced him is on the way out, there are certainly other Arrowverse shows that’d likely welcome him with open arms.
