Stop us if you have heard this one before, but a Big Brother 21 alum has caused controversy online.
Yes, this is that same Big Brother season that was marred by claims of racism against Jackson Michie and Jack Matthews.
Jackson later took responsibility for his words in a public apology, while Jack told host Julie Chen Moonves he was only joking around.
Some houseguests claimed they had to deal with microaggressions in various forms during the 2019 Summer season.
Sam Smith from Big Brother 21 has gone on several recent tirades about the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
During several Instagram Live sessions, Sam has railed against the Opening Ceremonies. He also claimed “the transgender” were a disgrace when they “mocked The Lord’s Supper.”

Friends and family of actor/writer/director John Paragon paid tribute to him earlier this week, laying him to rest at Hollywood Forever in a unique urn that memorializes his character from Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Jambi the Genie.
The purple and gold box containing his remains is a recreation of a similar Jambi box seen on the television show. It can be found at Abbey-Haven of Devotion, E-2 East wall, Niche D-3 at the cemetery, where many celebrities and Hollywood executives are interred.
Paragon died on April 3, 2021 at age 67 of heart disease complications. His ashes were stored by actress Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira), who came up with the idea for the Jambi box with actor Paul Reubens (Pee-Wee Herman). A fundraiser on GoFundMe raised more than 14K toward the memorial celebration.

Analyse Talavera appears in MTV’s The Challenge: Ride or Dies cast photo. Pic credit: MTV
Analyse Talavera is on The Challenge: Ride or Dies season, making her debut as one of the newcomers hoping to outdo the competition.
The reality TV star brings experience from another popular show, CBS’ Big Brother, which has brought several recent champions to The Challenge.
Analyse also nearly appeared on a previous season of MTV’s competition series but didn’t make the final cut. Now she gets her chance to shine and show her skills.
Being new to the MTV show gives her a bit of a disadvantage from the start, as she may not have too many allies in the game.
Thanks to the show’s theme, she’ll have a partner with her, but it’s a fellow rookie, meaning they might have to look elsewhere for help staying in the competition.

Big Brother Season 21 was the most toxic season in recent memory.
With racist comments, demeaning comments towards women, and everything in between, it's a season fans would like to forget.
However, some of the cast members have come under fire again after a group chat leaked on Twitter that included racially insensitive remarks.
Nick Maccarone and Jack Matthews stirred controversy when the former suggested that Jack would shoot something black on a reunion trip arranged by Holly Allen, and that there would be "uproar."
Jack said that he would use a "kill shot."
The cast of the controversial season has been commenting on the incident.
Kathryn Dunn responded to it, but later deleted her tweets and saying the following:
“I deleted the tweets, not because I didn’t mean everything I said but because some people took it the wrong way,” she wrote.

Big Brother has been on the air for 20 years.
The series has been a success story for CBS, but it has also been filled with controversial houseguests.
While most of the action is cut down to three one-hour episodes every week, the series has a 24-hour live feed that gives viewers a closer look into what goes on in the house.
We're running down the most controversial houseguests.
Jack Matthews (Season 21)
Matthews found himself in trouble for comments that viewers found both racist and aggressive.
He did not get on with fellow houseguest, Kemi Fakunle, and said to his allies that he wanted to "stomp a mudhole through" her chest.
He also called her "disgusting" and a "maggot" during their time in the house.
Matthews also courted controversy when called Asian-American houseguest Isabella Wang a "rice pudding."
Julie Chen asked Matthews about his comments upon his eviction, and he apologized to Fakunle,...

“Big Brother” is eyeing a second all-stars season this summer, and one of the possible houseguests might not be that old of a face at all.
On Monday, a day after “Us Weekly” reported that the show might stage an all-stars outing for Season 22, Season 21 alum Kemi Fakunle tweeted a cryptic message that has fans all atwitter (no pun intended).
“You only get a few once in a lifetime opportunities. Take demmmm,” she tweeted, along with a star eyes emoji.
Fans immediately speculated that she’s hinting at a Season 22 return.

Jack Mathews‘ colleagues remember the late, great film critic as a titantic industry figure who not only knew his Oscars, but was “charmingly unflappable” and “brilliantly funny.” Jack, who died Wednesday at age 80, contributed predictions and articles to Gold Derby for 20 years. We asked some of his peers to share their thoughts upon his passing.
Claudia Puig, film critic: “I had the good fortune of working with Jack at the L.A. Times, in the Calendar section. He was supremely knowledgeable about film and the entertainment industry, dryly funny, ever-professional and charmingly unflappable. Put simply, he was the ideal colleague and a prince of a guy. He will be sorely missed.”
Pete Hammond, Deadline Hollywood: “So sad. I continue finding reasons to truly hate 2020.”

Hey, fellow Big Brother fans. It's been a while, but we are finally back with a brand new Big Brother article for you guys. It's a sad one ,though, if you're a fan of Jack Matthews and Analyse Talavera aka "Sis" who formed a showmance and sexmance while in the Big Brother house this past Summer 2019. According to the folks over at Entertainment Tonight, these two love birds tried to make their relationship work outside of the house for a good, long month or so before they had to just call it quits. About two weeks ago, Jack hit up his official Instagram account to put in a very nice way that they've had enough of each other romantically, but they will still be friends. Here's what Jack wrote: "This has been a difficult week, mostly because of something that’s been going on in my life. I believe it...

It's been nearly 20 years since Big Brother premiered, and it hasn't changed a bit - and that's a bad thing.
By its own design, Big Brother can't hide behind an edit. Its innovative 24/7 live feeds made the show a novel concept, initially available for free but now requiring a paid subscription to CBS All Access, they've also exposed many deeply offensive moments of prejudice from contestants. When an episode fails to provide the whole story, feed watchers are quick to point out the flaws in the edit, providing real-time clips on sites like Twitter and Reddit. As controversies seem to get more frequent, the show continues to move away from what initially made it compelling. It's hard not to wonder if Big Brother's casting department and producers are vetting people who may hold prejudiced views, or at the very least, even attempting to find a more diverse cast of houseguests.

“Big Brother” finales are often rushed affairs, and arguably the most important part — jury questionnaire and final statements — gets the short shrift so Tptb can cram in various segments, like Swaggy C proposing to Bayleigh last year. That was painful for us, but what happened on Wednesday’s Season 21 finale was painful for the houseguests and absolutely incredible for us.
During the pre-jurors segment, Julie Chen Moonves wasted no time bringing up all the gross behavior this season that ranged from Gr8ful’s bullying of Nicole Anthony (and Ovi Kabir’s sweet defense on her behalf) and racism to Nick Maccarone’s two-timing ways. It was brutal, uncomfortable and glorious, and no one in jury (except maybe Jack Matthews) or the final two, Jackson Michie and Holly Allen, saw it coming at all.
Ironically, Jack, the worst offender this summer, came off the best, but that’s probably because...

It’s been another wild and wacky summer inside the “Big Brother” house, but the time has finally come to reveal the winner of the camp-themed Season 21. Heading into Wednesday’s 90-minute finale, only three houseguests remained in the running to claim the $500,000 prize: challenge beast Jackson Michie, his showmance partner Holly Allen and ultimate underdog Nicole Anthony. By the end of the episode, the jury had voted for one finalist to join the “Bb” winners list and America’s Favorite Houseguest was also named. So how’d it all play out?

Season 21 of “Big Brother” ends on Wednesday, September 25 with a live 90-minute finale on CBS that kicks off at 9:30 pm Et/8:30 pm Ct. Three houseguests are still in the running for the $500,000 grand prize: Holly Allen, Nicole Anthony and Jackson Michie. On Sunday’s episode, we saw Jackson win Part 1 of the 3-part Final Head of Household competition. Keep reading if you want “Big Brother” spoilers on who won Part 2 of the Final Hoh and who is likely to win season 21.
Part 2 took place on Saturday and saw Holly and Nicole do battle. After a marathon competition, Holly emerged as the winner. That means she and Jackson will face off on the live episode in Part 3 of the Final Head of Household competition. The “Big Brother 21” winner will be crowned Wednesday after the jurors cast their votes. And unlike most seasons, there is no suspense as to who the final two will be. Since Jackson Michie and Holly Allen won the first two parts of the final Hoh, respectively, they’ll take each other to final two, regardless of who wins Part 3 on Wednesday’s finale (though Jackson’s been dealing with a bout of paranoia recently). This is what happens when you don’t break up a showmance. So that means Nicole Anthony will be the ninth and final juror.
So how will the jury vote between Jolly? Will they be as bitter as the last three? There’s still a lot of variables, like the jury roundtable, if Cliff Hogg III will in fact try to sway everyone against Jackson, the jury questions and the final speeches. But based on everything we know so far,...

Just nine people will decide who wins “Big Brother” 21 on Wednesday, September 25 during the live 90-minute finale. We know the #BB21 winner will be one of the Final 3 — Holly Allen, Nicole Anthony and Jackson Michie. Loyal fans of the reality show can only watch from the sidelines as the Final 2 houseguests make their respective cases to the jury.
But “Big Brother” viewers do get to have their say as to who is “America’s Favorite Houseguest.” The winner of this popular vote will get bragging rights and $25,000. Last year, Tyler Crispen had to settle for runner-up status to #BB20 winner Kaycee Clark but he was named “America’s Favorite Houseguest.”
All 16 of the “Big Brother” houseguests in season 21 are eligible for this title. This includes the first five to be evicted (David Alexander, Kemi Fakunle, Ovi Kabir, Sam Smith and Isabella Wang); the jury pool and the Final 3.

And then there were three. Following the eviction of Cliff Hogg, the only houseguests still in the running to win “Big Brother” Season 21 are Jackson Michie, Holly Allen and Nicole Anthony. Whoever becomes the last Head of Household of the season will earn the power to bring someone with them to the final two, so it’s do or die time for our final three players. Sunday’s episode featured Part 1 of the three-part Hoh competition, in addition to showcasing some of the wackiest and wildest moments from the summer.

At least one thing didn’t work out the way Jackson Michie and Holly Allen wanted to this week on “Big Brother 21.” And yet it still did. Things definitely did not work out for Nicole Anthony, though, but she’s not giving up yet.
Jackson won Part 1 of the final Hoh on Thursday, which was not what he and Holly had plotted to do. Early Thursday morning, they discussed their final Hoh strategy: Jackson would throw Part 1 to Holly after Nicole is out, and he would face off against Nicole in Part 2 and hopefully win to ensure him and Holly for Part 3.
This was a good strategy for them — based on what they knew of the game. Part 1 has historically been endurance, and we know Holly can hang all night (as she’s petulantly reminded us all week about how she was “bullied” into throwing that Hoh). Part 2 has traditionally...

After 93 days in the “Big Brother” house, Cliff Hogg was sent packing on Thursday’s live eviction episode when Jackson Michie cast the sole vote to send the 54-year old engineer to jury. Although Nicole Anthony was the reigning Head of Household and had nominated Holly Allen and Michie for eviction, Michie won the most important Power of Veto of the summer, giving him the only vote on eviction night. Despite what Cliff may have thought, there was no chance Michie was going to save Cliff over his girlfriend Holly. Thankfully, host Julie Chen Moonves was waiting outside to ask Cliff what all of America wanted to know: “What was he thinking?!”
“I think I was getting a little too dependent on Michie and Holly,” Cliff admits. “I knew [Michie] was a strong person and I thought I could ride behind him. I was really thinking at some point someone else...

Heading into Thursday night’s eviction episode of “Big Brother,” two of the final three houseguests had already been revealed: Head of Household Nicole Anthony and Veto champion Jackson Michie, whose power granted him the sole vote to evict. As for the other two players, Holly Allen was Michie’s showmance partner who he promised to bring to the final three, and Cliff Hogg also felt safe because of the deal he made with Michie earlier in the week. So whose dreams ended up being shattered on live television: Holly or Cliff?

Even though “Big Brother’s” Jackson Michie made a deal this week to bring Cliff Hogg to the final three if he ended up winning the Veto competition, Michie had no intention of keeping that promise. In his mind, Cliff and Nicole Anthony struck first when they contemplated sending home Michie’s showmance partner Holly Allen last week over Tommy Bracco, which now gives him the right to lie to Cliff and Nicole.
After winning the final Veto comp of “BB21,” Michie broke down in tears as he apologized to Cliff and his family. “I’m sorry, Cliff,” he said in the Diary Room at the end of Wednesday’s episode. “I love you as a man, but I’m gonna have to send you home this week. And to the Hogg family, I’m very sorry that I am gonna have to do this.”

After a day of brainstorming campaign pitches to Jackson Michie, Cliff Hogg III went to work on Tuesday on “Big Brother 21,” and, well, better luck next time. Shocking, I know.
Cliff argued two parts of his three-point plan, first telling Jackson how loyal he is and is willing to make whatever promises necessary to stay. He said Nicole Anthony “released” him from their final two, so he’s got nothing right now and it isn’t shackled to any deal that would prevent him from taking Jackson to final two. They once again rehashed how Nicole was the one who wanted Tommy Bracco to stay and Cliff wanted to keep Holly, and how this was all Nicole’s fault. Jackson acknowledged that Cliff hadn’t been blatantly disloyal, but said that the fact he wasn’t “willing to break away and make an individual decision” disappointed him. Cliff countered that...

On Sunday’s dramatic episode of “Big Brother,” we saw Nicole Anthony win the embarrassingly short endurance competition to become Week 12 Head of Household. She targeted Jackson Michie for eviction on September 19 and named his showmance Holly Allen as the other nomination. Nicole’s pal Cliff Hogg would cast the only vote.
The only way for Jackson to avoid eviction on Thursday was to be removed from the line-up at Monday’s Power of Veto ceremony. On Sunday’s show, we learned that Nicole Anthony had won the briefest endurance competition ever to become Week 12 Head of Household. Tommy Bracco cartwheeled his way to “Big Brother” 21 host Julie Chen Moonves after becoming the latest houseguest sent packing on Thursday’s live eviction episode. Despite launching a convincing campaign to save himself, Tommy was outsmarted by Head of Household Jackson Michie, who wove together a brilliant web of lies to convince Cliff Hogg and Nicole Anthony that Tommy couldn’t be trusted. In a last minute decision, Cliff and Nicole ultimately decided to evict Tommy over Michie’s number one ally and showmance, Holly Allen.
“He got me!” Tommy exclaims as he sits down with Julie. “It’s all false! It’s all a lie.” After Julie explains that viewers at home have not seen what transpired between Michie and Tommy, she gives the Broadway dancer an opportunity to explain his emotional final hours in the house.

Who would have thought that the two most influential people in the “Big Brother” house would be underdogs Nicole Anthony and Cliff Hogg? Well, that’s exactly how things shaped up this week after Nicole won the Veto and removed Cliff from the chopping block. That meant Head of Household Jackson Michie had no choice but to nominate his showmance partner Holly Allen alongside Tommy Bracco. When it came down to it, did Nicole and Cliff vote on Thursday to send home Holly, thereby breaking up the final duo in the house, or evict Tommy, the only person not in their alliance?

When Jackson Michie won the Final 5 Head of Household, he never imagined in a million years the week would end with his showmance partner Holly Allen going up on the block … and possibly being evicted. But that’s exactly what happened thanks to Nicole Anthony winning the power of Veto in Wednesday’s episode and removing her ride-or-die Cliff Hogg from the chopping block. Michie had no other chance but to nominate Holly as a replacement, meaning either she or Tommy Bracco will be going home on Thursday.

Jessica Milagros gifted us one of the best weeks of “Big Brother 21” when she won Hoh and Veto in Week 6, nominated two huge threats, Jack Matthews and Jackson Michie, and got Jack out, giving the game the shakeup it desperately needed. But before that week and afterward, she was hardly a major player in the grand scheme of things (and she knew it). Or as Zingbot called her, a “snoozefest.”
There probably was a path for her to follow to the end, but Jess was Jackson’s target this week, and she went out with a 4-0 vote as the first evictee on Thursday’s double eviction night. It was kind of poetic that she went out in seventh place, flying solo, with three tight duos left since Jess was admittedly clueless about all the alliances and conversations happening in the house.

Jackson Michie won the Week 10 Head of Household competition an hour after the end of the live August 29 episode of “Big Brother.” This 24-year-old server from Los Angeles then had to decide which two #BB21 houseguests to nominate for the live eviction vote on September 5. Heading into Thursday’s live eviction episode of “Big Brother,” Nick Maccarone had overwhelming racetrack odds of 18/25 to be evicted, while his block-mate Christie Murphy had 47/20 odds. As a reminder, Nick was nominated by Head of Household Holly Allen, but Christie was nominated as part of the America’s Prankster twist, which allowed Nick (who viewers voted to be the Prankster) to steal half of Holly’s Hoh reign. Jackson Michie ended up winning the Veto, which meant Nick and Christie would face the chopping block on Thursday night. How did the live vote play out, and did Julie Chen Moonves have any final surprises in store as Prank Week came to a close?

Over the past two decades CBS’s “Big Brother” has given us some of the most diabolical, vile and downright dirty villains in the history of reality TV. Remember when “Evel” Dick Donato woke up his fellow houseguests by banging pots and pans? Then there was Chima Simone, who got fed up with producers’ rules and threw her microphone into the hot tub. The current season is no exception. Season 21 introduced the world to the “Jacks,” Jack Matthews and Jackson Michie, two alpha males who boasted their chests and made controversial comments throughout their time on the show. Click through our photo gallery above to see our 19 favorite “Big Brother” villains, ranked worst to best.

With just four weeks remaining before the winner of “Big Brother” 21 is announced live on September 25, eight houseguests are still competing to take home the $500,000 grand prize. In one of the most chaotic seasons ever, we’ve witnessed continuous power shifts, alliances implode and explosive fights. But who really has a shot at winning? Below we list the four houseguests who have done enough to put themselves in contention.
To date, eight houseguests have already been evicted. David Alexander, Ovi Kabir, Kemi Fakunle, Isabella Wang and Sam Smith were sent straight home after failing to form solid alliances within the house. Jack Matthews, Kathryn Dunn and Analyse Talavera held on long enough to become the first three members of the jury. But which four remaining players have the best chance at winning? Let’s dive in!

As of this writing, eight houseguests are still competing to take home the $500,000 grand prize when the “Big Brother” finale airs September 25 on CBS. The way things are shaping up, there are four players that have a realistic shot of joining the “Big Brother” winners list and four others who’ve, sadly, ruined any shot at claiming victory. Below, we name the four likeliest losers from Season 21.
Eight houseguests have already been sent packing: David Alexander, Ovi Kabir, Kemi Fakunle, Isabella Wang and Sam Smith in the first stage of the game and Jack Matthews, Kathryn Dunn and Analyse Talavera in the jury phase. Analyse Talavera was all smiles as she walked out to meet “Big Brother” 21 host Julie Chen Moonves during Thursday night’s live eviction episode. After being put on the block as a pawn by Jackson Michie earlier in the week, Analyse became collateral damage as his real target, Christie Murphy, staged a historic turn of events during Taco Tuesday that pulled the target off herself and placed it on her latest nemesis Nick Maccarone. After Christie blew up Nick’s game and told the entire house she would go after him, the vote flipped in Christie’s favor and Analyse was evicted by a vote of 5-1.

All week long, Head of Household Jackson Michie had his fingers crossed he’d be able to get out his biggest threat in the game, Christie Murphy. Michie nominated likeable Analyse Talavera as a pawn hoping no one would choose to evict her if she was sitting alongside Christie, then he won the Veto and kept his nominations the same. Unless something completely unexpected happened during Thursday’s live episode, then Christie would surely become the next member of the jury house, joining Jack Matthews and Kathryn Dunn. So how’d it all play out?

Monday’s Veto ceremony went as expected on “Big Brother 21,” because Jackson Michie was never using that Veto, and just as predictable, Christie Murphy and Analyse Talavera went on another pity party afterward. This time, they had a new target: Nick Maccarone.
The two went on a rant — or really, it was Christie ranting and Analyse agreeing since words are hard — about how Nick is a sneaky bastard and he has been playing all of them because he’s working both sides and is throwing comps, and he’s getting away with it. This, in their minds, is evidenced by the fact that Nick was not nominated this week even though he was the one who started the NuSix to take down Jackson and Holly Allen.
This alone just epitomizes their fundamental misunderstanding of the situation. Yes, Nick is smarmy, yes, he’s playing both sides, and yes, it’s working.

Jackson wasted no time making his intentions crystal clear after the Hoh comp. “I want Christie gone,” he declared to Holly Allen. Music to a whole lotta people’s ears.
The only question is exactly how does he go about targeting his former alliance-mate and current mortal enemy? Jackson debated doing a backdoor with Jessica Milagros and Analyse Talavera as pawns, but Holly talked him out of it because if Analyse somehow came down, that’s going to be a vote to keep Christie. Holly tried to push for Nick Maccarone, pointing out how he’s playing both sides, but Jackson said he told Nick, Tommy Bracco and Cliff Hogg...

Lines were drawn in the sand when Kat was voted out of the Big Brother house by a vote of 6-1 on Thursday.
With Kat out, Jackson and Holly were the next two names on Tommy, Christie and Analyse's hit list, so they really needed to win to secure their own safety.
For much of the endurance competition that followed, it was Jackson, Holly, and Christie in the competitive loop.
In the end, however, Jackson managed to secure the win and peace of mind in knowing that he and Holly will be safe for the coming week.
Immediately after the competition, Holly vowed to support Jackson in whatever he wanted to do because this is his Hoh.
Holly already started to suspect that Tommy, Analyse, and Christie were moving on without them, and that was essentially confirmed during Wednesday's messy night in the house with the aim of saving Kat.
