Starz has announced the movie and TV titles that will be available on the service in November. The Starz November 2024 schedule includes the season finales of Sweetpea and Three Women, the season seven part two premiere of Outlander, and new episodes of Fat Joe Talks every week.

On the film front, The Perfect Christmas, Inside, A Thousand and One, and several other notable titles join the Starz app this month.

To kick off the holiday season, a special action-packed collection will be released Thanksgiving weekend, including favorites like Avengers: Age of Ultron, Jurassic World Dominion: Extended Version, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Riddick, and Chronicles of Riddick.

“Three Women” is set to make its mark on Starz on Friday, where it will introduce viewers to three different women and the intricacies of their intimate lives.

The stories of the women were adapted from author and journalist Lisa Taddeo’s 2019 book “Three Women,” and are based on a true story.

At the center, “Three Women” stars Shailene Woodley as Gia, Betty Gilpin as Lina and DeWanda Wise as Sloane. Other cast members include Gabrielle Creevy, Blair Underwood, John Patrick Amedori, Blair Redford and more.

Spend enough time complaining about padded limited series that would have worked better as movies and superfluously ambitious movies that would have been better fulfilled as limited series, and it becomes a relief to offer a small new variation: Starz’s new 10-hour limited series Three Women would have been better as three movies. Or possibly it would have been better as a three-season anthology series. All I know is that watching Lisa Taddeo’s adaptation of her own acclaimed book, I’ve rarely been as conscious that the way a story was being presented onscreen couldn’t possibly be the best way for that given story to be told.

Three Women is, more accurately, three different stories told in suboptimal fashion — maybe four if you include what should have been a framing device but, owing presumably to “It’s my darned book” privilege, has been given equal weight throughout.

Shailene Woodley is currently promoting her new Starz series Three Women and she’s opening up about her current relationship with the media.

The 32-year-old actress stepped out for the premiere of the show on Monday night (September 9) at The Times Center in New York City.

Shailene was joined by co-stars DeWanda Wise, Gabrielle Creevy, Blair Underwood, John Patrick Amedori, Jason Ralph (with wife Rachel Brosnahan), and Blair Redford.

Missing from the premiere was co-star Betty Gilpin. The new series premieres on September 13.

The Gotham Film & Media Institute has unveiled the three tribute recipients to be honored at the Gotham TV Awards. The show was nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Rachel, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for Alex Borstein, and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Amy Sherman-Palladino.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams Friday signed a proclamation declaring April 14, 2023 The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Day, recognizing the Prime Video series for its positive impact on NYC and the iconic path blazed worldwide. The first three episodes of the fifth and final season drop today.

The series “showcases the beautiful streets of New York City, features a strong female lead character, and is the perfect example of how our city’s film and TV industry creates jobs, and generates economic activity,” Adams said, citing 185,000+ jobs and more than $82 billion in total economic output. “We are going to continue to work with studios and stakeholders, like Prime Video, to ensure New York City is made available to them for their production needs.”

When “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” emerged in 2017 as a pilot for Amazon’s Prime Video, I wrote it was a look at “neurosis, nutty family dynamics, comedy laced with heartache — my new favorite show. I would binge watch the series right now — but there’s only the pilot!”

Now, as we welcome the show’s fifth and final season, which premieres Friday, April 14, I’m carrying a lot of baggage, all matched and color-coordinated.

What can you say about Rachel Brosnahan’s breakout standup Miriam “Midge” Maisel and creator Amy Sherman-Palladino? They got it right — and then some, with 20 Emmys and 66 nominations to back up their success.

She's back for one last kick at the can!

On The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5 Episode 1, we get a series of heartfelt goodbyes and a glimpse at the future. It's a bittersweet beginning to the end of one of television's most delightful comedies.

Warning: This review contains spoilers for Episodes 1 - 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 5.

The first episode is aptly titled because we "go forward" in time to 1981. Alexandra Socha is uncanny as the grown-up version of Midge's daughter, Esther.

She was so convincing that initially, I wondered if they had done visual effects or computer trickery on Rachel Brosnahan. Did Socha win a Midge Maisel impersonation contest? She's a marvel!

Poor Esther is neurotic and brilliant, which makes complete sense. We don't get to spend too much time with her here, but just enough to get an idea of how much Midge has affected her daughter.

Rachel Brosnahan loved sharing the screen with her other half, actor Jason Ralph, on the fifth and final season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”.

Brosnahan, who plays Miriam “Midge” Maisel” in the hit show, spoke to Et Canada about how the idea to have Ralph, who stars as Mike Carr, in the show came about.

The actress, who has been married to her hubby since 2016, recalled, “[“Mrs. Maisel’ creator] Amy [Sherman-Palladino] has always loved Jason, and… she had kind of said she didn’t know how big a part it was going to be last season, and it ended up [being] two episodes. And then she decided to write eight or nine episodes this season. So it just kind of felt really organic.”

“It was really fun,” Brosnahan added of working with her husband.

Midge is eyeing bigger and brighter stages in the fifth and final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which premieres Friday, April 14 on Prime Video. When we last left off with Miriam Maisel (Rachel Brosnahan), the Manhattan housewife-turned-standup comedienne took her relationship with Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby) to the next level while success seems “closer than ever [yet] still so far away,” per the logline.

“I want a big life. I want to break every single rule there is,” declares Midge in the latest trailer. But she also discovers that “it’s two steps forward, three steps back, and I’m tired of it,” she says of her comedy career.

The fifth and final season of “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is right around the corner, and star Rachel Brosnahan is opening up about saying goodbye to Midge Maisel.

Did Brosnahan take any mementos from the set? “What do I wish I had taken from set all the furniture out of Midge’s apartment. I wish I did,” she told Et Canada.

“That would have been a little big. I’d have to bring a U-Haul to the last day of shooting,” she quipped.

Rachel Brosnahan brought a red-hot look to the season five premiere of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel in New York City, with a corset-top dress from Georges Hobeika and matching red mules from Paris Texas.

Her style for the premiere of the final season was inspired by her onscreen character, the eponymous Midge Maisel, but it was also an opportunity for Brosnahan to bring some of her personality to the red carpet.

“My stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn and I wanted to nod to Maisel and Midge with the bold color and matching shoes, but also wanted it to feel modern and more reflective of me as a person outside of the show as I head into this next chapter,” Brosnahan shares with The Hollywood Reporter.

The fifth and final season of Prime Video’s critically acclaimed The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will feature guest starring appearances by Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Hank Azaria (Brockmire), two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster (The Music Man), Danny Strong (creator and showrunner of Dopesick), and Sean Gunn (the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise). In addition, David Paymer will return for the final season as Harry Drake.

Four-time Emmy winner Tony Shalhoub is Abe Weissman, three-time Emmy winner Alex Borstein is Susie Myerson, Emmy nominee Marin Hinkle is Rose Weissman, and Michael Zegen stars as Joel Maisel. Hank Azaria (Brockmire), Sutton Foster (The Music Man), Darren Criss (The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story), Danny Strong (Dopesick) and Sean Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) are joining the fifth and final season as guest stars with David Paymer returning to reprise his role as Harry Drake. Additionally, Tony-nominated Alexander Gemignani (Carousel) has been tapped for a heavily recurring role in Season 5. Character details, other than Paymer, are not being revealed.

The roles will reunite Sutton, Strong and Gunn with series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. Sutton recorded “I Enjoy Being a Girl” for season 3 of Maisel and also starred in Sherman-Palladino’s Bunheads. Strong and Gunn both appeared on Gilmore Girls, created by Sherman-Palladino.
