Born Rodman John Myers in November 1998 in Detroit, Michigan.
Rod has been acting in TV and Film for seven years and can be seen in the original Hallmark movie "Smooch" opposite Kiernan Shipka ("Mad Men") starring as Sam Simon on Hallmark Channels and DVD.
Rod can also be seen in the movie "Approaching Midnight" distributed by a division of Lionsgate on DVD and in theaters August 2013 and.
Rod received awards in 2013 for producing, directing, editing and special effects in filmmaking. In addition, Rod earned awards as a 2013 "You Be the Chemist Challenge" chemistry bee competitor, is a 5th place winner in the 2011 RoboFest Robotics World Championship, and is a 1st place winner in the 2010 International Photo Imaging Education Association photography contest where his and other winning photographs traveled internationally and were displayed in several different countries and throughout the United States.
Rod enjoys competitive kart racing for the past six years including racing at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). Rod continues to receive awards for academic excellence in school, and outstanding academic achievement by Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search (NUMATS).
Rod is self-educated in the field of Cardiology at the collegiate level. In 2011, Rod was accepted into the Beaumont Hospital Cardiology Team assisting with EKG screening and evaluation. He also volunteers with his family at a Detroit soup kitchen.
Rod completed a three week 400+ mile bike trip in 2013 from Boston, Massachusetts to Portland, Maine. The teens, along with their guides, carried all of their gear on their bikes and slept outdoors. Rod credits his experience exploring the countryside and the people he met along the way with adding to his vision of creativity in filmmaking.
