Prolific author Anthony Horowitz has scripted mystery drama Nine Bodies In A Mexican Morgue, here are the details.
Anthony Horowitz is perhaps best known for creating the Alex Rider franchise, which so far comprises fourteen novels, seven short stories, a critically maligned 2006 film and a popular television drama on Amazon Prime, the third and final series of which aired last month. He has also written many standalone novels and the terrific Horowitz Horror books of horror stories for older children.
However, he is just as prolific writing for the screen, creating the brilliant time travel drama Crime Traveller, which starred Michael French and Red Dwarf star Chloe Annett, ITV drama Foyle’s War and the television adaptation of his novel Magpie Murders.
His latest series is Nine Bodies In A Mexican Morgue, which has been acquired by the BBC. The synopsis reads as follows:

During the Paris Fan Festival, Taz Skylar, the actor cast to portray Sanji in Netflix’s One Piece Live-Action series, opened up about the initial wave of negative comments he faced on social media following the casting announcement.
During the festival’s Q/A session, Taz recounted his very first exposure to criticism and it was around the time when the One Piece casting news came out. He revealed that his friends informed him that his name was trending on Twitter alongside references to his resemblance to rapper Eminem.
“The best way to get me to do something is tell me I can’t do it,” Skylar stated, revealing that rather than being deterred by the negative feedback, he found motivation in the challenge. “I remember I laughed because I was like, you know what, they have a point. I do kind of look a little bit like Em,” he added.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 11 “The Outsider.”] If you thought Gideon Ridge (James Frain) shook things up when he made his entrance at the end of Episode 10, that’s nothing compared to what happens in the latest Quantum Leap. Gideon is none too pleased with Ian (Mason Alexander Park) for using the quantum chip he made for them that helped them find Ben (Raymond Lee)—he was missing for three years, though no time passed for the leaper—without his knowledge and refusing to give it back. Someone has to go, and since Ian is the best shot at finding Ben, it can’t be them. Tom (Peter Gadiot), as the Department of Defense representative, tells Magic (Ernie Hudson) he has to fire Jenn (Nanrisa Lee). Instead, Magic decides to resign. “Once he found out the truth about what Ian had been up to, I think he realized that something had to be done,” ...

Fate. The main narrative thrust of the original and new Quantum Leap is changing fate. To put right what once went wrong. That doesn’t mean that Leapers like Sam (Scott Bakula) and Ben (Raymond Lee) can just change anything they want however. When Leapers are given their missions they’re often small, helping individual lives instead of making changes on a global scale. Why? Why can’t a Leaper, who’s supposed to make the world better, change bigger parts of the fate of history?
Season 2 episode 11 of the new Quantum Leap, “The Outsider” brings this question to the forefront. In the two previous episodes, Ben had learned current love interest Hannah’s husband was going to die of heart disease. In a full Back to the Future moment, Ben writes a letter to Hannah before that happens so she can prevent it.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 10, “The Family Treasure.”] At first, it seems like the latest Quantum Leap is going to just be about bringing a family together—and acceptance of one sibling, who comes out as non-binary, with a bit of help from Ben (Raymond Lee) with words not yet used in 1953, but then we reach the end, and there are a couple of shocking moments in a row. First of all, Addison (Caitlin Bassett) and Tom (Peter Gadiot) start the episode by telling the others of their engagement—and plans to get married that day! “I planned a wedding once. Once was enough,” she explains. After, Tom checks that she’s sure they’re not rushing things. “If there’s one thing I have learned from all of this, it is do not wait to live your life,” Addison says. She doesn’t get the chance to tell Ben the news,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 9, “Off the Cuff.”] Quantum Leap kicks off the final episodes of Season 2 with a major moment for one couple and a revelation for another. Ben’s (Raymond Lee) latest leap leads him to Hannah (Eliza Taylor) once again … only this time, she’s married, with a kid. Furthermore, as Addison (Caitlin Bassett) reveals to Ben just before he leaps (so he can’t warn Hannah), her husband dies in 18 months from a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Back in the present, Addison lets Tom (Peter Gadiot) know she found the engagement ring. She’d been trying to figure out if she should say something, but then she realized he’s the one who gets her unstuck when she’s stuck. He admits he had a plan, but emergencies kept popping up. With that, he gets down on one knee—because he wants to, more ...

Ben’s (Raymond Lee) days leaping around in time and into people could be numbered, if the lead that Tom (Peter Gadiot) found at the end of the last Quantum Leap episode goes anywhere. But is that something the team—namely Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who’s the one mostly interacting with him as his hologram—will clue him in on? “That’s always been a really fun thing about this, right?” Bassett tells TV Insider ahead of the NBC drama’s midseason return on January 30 (it moves to Tuesdays at 10/9c). “When to tell him things, how to tell him things. It’s positive news, but I do feel at this juncture, until we know more, I don’t want to get his hopes up. And you’ll see different camps in the show coming up, the tell him versus the not. Ben (Raymond Lee) and Addison (Caitlin Bassett) likely aren’t going to be ready to work together again for a while on Quantum Leap. Season 2 began with Ben finding out that while for him, between jumps, no time passed, it had been three years for his team back home. As a result, the project was shut down. Everyone thought he was dead, and Addison moved on with Tom (Peter Gadiot), who is now also working with them at Quantum Leap. Things got rocky between Ben and Addison as she remained his hologram despite their personal tension — for a bit, at least. Now, the others, including Tom in the most recent episode, are stepping in to be the hologram. “What happened [prior to the latest episode] was really damaging in a way where I don’t know that Ben’s really unpacked it yet. And there’s no book on relationships that deals with this specific thing,...

This article contains spoilers for Quantum Leap season 2 episode 4 and the finale of the original Quantum Leap series.
“Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home.”
These are the words that ended the original Quantum Leap series. Sam (Scott Bakula), who’d been leaping from life to life, was informed in the final episode that he finally had control over his leaps. That he could leap home if he wanted to. Ben was supposed to reunite with his fiancé Addison at the end of Quantum Leap’s first season, but we now know that never happened. While no time had passed for Ben between his first leap in Season 2 and his last one in the Season 1 finale, Ian explained that he’d been missing for three years and was believed to be dead.
Co-showrunner Martin Gero tells TVLine that Ben’s strange disappearance will be the “main thrust” of the show this year. “Very quickly, we’re going to explain why it happened,” the EP shares. “For us, the really interesting...

It takes some true dialogue-forging skill to drop tiny details into conversation without drawing a lot of attention only to become incredibly significant later on.
Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 2 is rife with finesse as it pilots Ben through a classic catastrophe-aversion leap while providing catch-up on the lives of the rest of the Ql team.
Moreover, it introduces Peter Gadiot's character, Tom Westfall, in a benevolently ambiguous manner. While his appearance bears little likeness to his recent One Piece character, I suspect Tom will be just as full of surprises.
It goes to show how well the show's creators shaped the characters and relationships throughout Quantum Leap Season 1 that bringing a new face onto the team immediately triggers the stranger danger alert in our head.
Nothing about Tom's behavior indicates he is anything but supportive and understanding, but he sets off all sorts of alarms.
Largely, it's the fact...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Quantum Leap Season 2 Episode 2 “Ben & Teller.”] In the first season of Quantum Leap, Ben (Raymond Lee) and Addison (Caitlin Bassett) were kept apart by his jumps and the fact that he lost his memory. Now, in Season 2, the team knows he’s alive (after being missing and presumed dead for three years), but that doesn’t mean the (formerly engaged) couple can just pick up where they left off, even if he does remember everything now. Rather, as the second episode reveals, Addison’s now in a relationship with Tom Westfall (Peter Gadiot), a former special forces soldier and a high-ranking US Army Officer in the realm of Army Intelligence. They’d known each other for years, and she credits him with helping her remember what it is to be alive and happy again after thinking Ben was dead and the darkest two years of her life. “It was very...
