Netflix has truly been the gift that keeps on giving in 2024. All throughout the year, the streaming service has continued to acquire so many past and recent favorite television series for our binge-watching pleasure, even beyond its own original series.
Whether it's This Is Us, The Resident, Fire Country, Interview with the Vampire, Sex and the City, Lost, or How I Met Your Mother, there were (and are) plenty of great shows to binge on Netflix. In a post-Suits renaissance world, what's old is new again and we're all eating it up.
But the streamer isn't finished yet with bringing popular and underrated series to its ranks. This fall, Gossip Girl returns to Netflix, and soon after The CW classic arrives in October, one of NBC's most underrated workplace comedies begins streaming on Netflix for the first time.

Kelce is the host of Prime Video’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity, a trivia competition in which adult contestants answer elementary-level questions for a shot at a $100,000 prize. Helping them along — or maybe hindering them — are a classroom of celebrities. And, it turns out, those stars were duly impressed by Kelce’s job hosting the show, which premieres with three episodes on Wednesday, October 16. “We loved him,” comedian Natasha Leggero told Newsweek in a recent interview. “He was so cute, and he was so prepared. He really blew me away because I did not have very high expectations. … You could tell he took it really seriously, and he killed it.” Loot actor Ron Funches added,...

Rodney Dangerfield was the king of telling dumb jokes about his wife, a practice he got away with because his own ineptitude as a romantic partner usually made him the butt of the joke. But in the name of spreading the wealth, here are plenty of classic and contemporary comics joining Dangerfield in delivering spousal punchlines. Before you head to marriage counseling, take these dumb wife jokes — please…
1 Hasan Minhaj
“I recently got married. It was like a reverse Lord of the Rings situation where I got a ring and then I lost half of my power.”
2 Rodney Dangerfield
“My wife and I were happy for 20 years. Then we met.”
3 Nate Bargatze
“She put Life360 on my phone. That’s so they can track you even when they’re not near you. You might not even know you have it on your phone. It’s worse than what the government’s doing.

Showrunners Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker promised the couple will never break up. Harley and Ivy started their fourth season last summer as current TV’s longest-running queer couple. There was, however, one person their new love left behind: Ivy’s former fiancé Chuck Brown, better known as Kite Man. He was the only one at his wedding willing to acknowledge that Ivy didn’t actually love him and, during their vows, answered the officiant’s prompt with a “Hell… no.”

Jimmy Kimmel is finally hosting “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” the way it’s supposed to be done — in front of a studio audience. The landmark game show returns with an all-celeb edition for its 25th anniversary on Wednesday night, and although this is the third season he’s been in the chair that Regis Philbin made famous, this is the first time fans have finally been allowed back in the studio.
“I really wanted to do it the proper way in front of people because you like to hear people laugh at your jokes,” Kimmel says. “Also, the drama that goes along with a couple of hundred people watching the action happen is an important part of the show. I mean, doing the show in front of nobody is no fun.”
But that’s what Kimmel had to do in March 2020 when he first came on to host the primetime series’ revival.

Welcome to My Favorite Scene! In this series, IndieWire speaks to actors behind a few of our favorite television performances about their personal-best onscreen moment and how it came together.
Maya Rudolph admittedly has a hard time choosing her favorite scene from the second season of “Loot,” the Apple TV+ series where she plays a woman named Molly Wells who becomes one of the richest women in the world after divorcing her philandering futurist husband, and then decides to use that fortune to amplify the efforts of her charity foundation.
It could be the scene in the premiere where Wells discovers her cousin that she works with, played by comedian Ron Funches, has been living in her new house for weeks. “I like the two worlds crashing into each other. It’s been a long time coming, but Pixar has finally embraced 2D in a feature with the cartoon characters Bloofy and Pouchy from “Inside Out 2” (in theaters June 14). They’re the scene-stealing dog and fanny pack stars of Riley’s favorite preschool show, “Bloofy’s House”, which she still secretly enjoys as a teen.
Bloofy and Pouchy are prisoners in Riley’s Vault of Secrets, where Joy (Amy Poehler) and her emotional cohorts are banished when they refuse to give up control of Headquarters to Anxiety (Maya Hawke). But, in an amusing turn of events, the cartoon characters lead an escape with the help of dynamite that Pouchy packed away.
However, the decision to animate the beagle and his sidekick in 2D only came about as a result of Pixar’s recent forays into hand-drawn animation. “We weren’t sure how we were gonna do it,” director Kelsey Mann told Indiewire.

This article contains major spoilers for "Inside Out 2."
At the end of Pixar's phenomenal "Inside Out," the core emotions of Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, and Fear are given a new console in Headquarters to better equip the workers for the changes heading toward their girl, Riley Andersen. They've successfully helped her in her transition from Minnesota to the San Francisco Bay Area, prevented her from trying to run away from home, and helped restore Riley to the wonderful girl she's always been. She's on a new hockey team, the Fog Horns, and is embracing a new chapter in her life. But along with the console upgrades like the complete curse world library, there's a little section that reads "Puberty," which Joy (Amy Poehler) brushes off as "probably not important." Oh, Joy. You fool. You silly, optimistic fool.

Riley (Kensington Tallman), the little girl audiences were first introduced to in 2015’s Inside Out, is navigating typical teenage life in Inside Out 2. Early in the film, she gets invited to an advanced hockey tryout at her soon-to-be-new high school with her two besties, only to find out that they aren’t going to the same school, and that the badass jock girls at the new school are bigger, stronger, and cooler. While it’d be nice if she knew how to deal with that in an emotionally mature way, unfortunately, she’s literally got a lot more on her mind.
When we last saw her in the original film, Riley had one core group of anthropomorphic emotions running around the crystalline control center in her head, guiding her decisions: Joy (Amy Pohler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust, and Fear. After the big red puberty alarm goes off,...

He might voice a cop in the latest Disney-Pixar movie, but Flea is still a rebel at heart.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers rocker appeared to forget where he was for a moment as he posed with both middle fingers in the air on the purple carpet of Monday’s Inside Out 2 world premiere in Los Angeles.
It all appeared to be in good fun as he also busted out some dance moves for the cameras. Deadline has reached out to Flea’s reps for comment.
Despite the unexpected rockstar vibes, the event at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre drew plenty of families, including Ashlee Simpson, husband Evan Ross, and their brood.
Flea reprises his voice role as Mind Cop Worker Jake from the original 2015 film, which takes place inside a young girl’s mind, following the personifications of her changing emotions.

Pixar has been one of the premiere names in animation ever since the first "Toy Story" released in 1995, changing the game forever. Disney's beloved animation company was also one of the true Hollywood box office titans, with pretty much everything Pixar touched turning to gold, though "The Good Dinosaur" serves as a rare exception to the rule. Unfortunately, the pandemic changed all of that, and Pixar has had a rough time recovering, with "Lightyear" bombing badly after several of the studio's originals went straight to Disney+. "Inside Out 2" aims to change the narrative next weekend and bring the studio back to its dominant place at the top of the box office charts.
Director Kelsey Mann's sequel is currently eyeing an opening weekend in the $75 to $94 million range, per Box Office Theory. Even on the low end, that would be an exceptional start for the film. Nine years ago,...
