Bob Barr(IV)

Bob Barr (name Robert Marshall Barr) grew up in Kansas City, MO and
graduated Westport High. He served in World War II in what was then the
Army Air Corps, at a B29 base in Chengtu, China as a weather
cryptographer. After discharge, he took his first professional acting
job with the Piper Players, but returned to school at UNC, Chapel Hill,
receiving a BA in Dramatic o and being elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He
continued his education at Yale School of Drama, graduating in 1952
with an MFA in playwriting. Having married his last year, his wife
became pregnant and he immediately entered the business world. After a
career in sales and marketing, he retired to NC and resumed acting,
appearing in 38 professional productions. After his wife's death, he
expanded horizons, acting in regional theatre in Washington, DC, St.
Louis, and Phoenix and joining both Actors Equity and Dramatists Guild.
In the last ten years, he has written a dozen 10 minute plays and four
full-length plays. He has been produced and published and is now, after
having appeared in a number of films, begun screen writing.
