Rapper 2 Chainz was arrested for marijuana possession in Easton, Md., on Thursday night, reports TMZ.

The rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was en route to perform at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore when the van he was traveling in with six other people was pulled over by the police. Gossip Cop reports that the 35-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and was later released with a citation -- but not before he posed with the arresting officers for a photo.

2 Chainz took to Twitter after he was released and claimed the cops were "f*cking" with him. The rapper seemed to be in disbelief that he was arrested, claiming he didn't have weed on him at the time, just a grinder, which is used to crush weed before you smoke it:

With the fabulous extravaganza coming to an end, the 55th Annual Grammy Awards named the year’s big winners during an extremely entertaining presentation at the Staples Center on Sunday (February 10).

Taking home the top prize tonight was Mumford and Sons winning Album of the Year, while other tremendous victors included Adele, The Black Keys, and Carrie Underwood.

While viewers found out who took home the prizes of the night, they were also treated to dazzling performances from Rihanna with Bruno Mars and Sting, along with Miss Undersood, Justin Timberlake, and Taylor Swift.

In addition, Fun. cleaned up by taking home the coveted award for Song of the Year and Best New Artist.

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards were held Sunday night and Kanye West ended the evening with three awards.

West, who received six nominations, was actually up against himself in two categories. For both Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, West was nominated for both "N----s in Paris" with Jay-z, and "Mercy" with Big Sean, Pusha T, and 2 Chainz. West was also nominated for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video for "No Church in the Wild" with Jay-z, Frank Ocean, and The-Dream.

West began the night tied with fun., Frank Ocean, Mumford & Sons, The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, and Jay-z for the most nominations.

At last year's 54th Annual Grammy Awards, West was nominated for seven awards, winning four: Best Rap Performance, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Album.

The rapper has been very outspoken about his distaste for the Grammy awards.

Justin Bieber continues his reign on the pop charts. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, "Believe Acoustic" will take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 200 next week. That makes five chart-toppers for the 18-year-old singer.

The actual figures will be out Wednesday, but Billboard expects the album to move 100,000 units.

"Believe Acoustic" is a follow-up to 2012's "Believe," which saw Bieber transition from a purely teen sensibility to a more adult songwriter and performer (signaled in part by the album's guest features: Drake, Big Sean, Ludacris and Nicki Minaj).

The acoustic album doesn't feature any other vocalists.

A newfound confidence has come with Bieber's new maturity. The singer recently expressed his disappointment at not receiving any Grammy nominations for "Believe." In 2011, he was nominated for Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album (for "My World 2.0"). From our earlier reporting on the matter:

Anticipation has been high since the rapper shut down Woodward Avenue for the video shoot in November, filling the street with crowds, brightly dressed dancers and him leading the parade from a boat. Kanye West's new album has been confirmed by Big Sean. Bieber tells MSN that Big Sean is "one of [his] favorite rappers around right now" and that the song "brings back old elements ... definitely Michael Jackson-esque."

He adds, "I think this performance is going to be next level. I've been really practicing my dancing in the studio, so it's been great."

Kanye has decided to pull out of attending the MTV Video Music Awards on Sept. 6 after realizing that Kim wouldn't be able to attend, according to a new report. They're so in love -- they can't even attend events without one another! Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, who were both featured in a promo for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards will not be attending tonight's festivities -- Kim can't attend, so Kanye won't go! Kanye West is no stranger to this category. He has been nominated seven times for Best Hip-Hop Video but has yet to win. This year he is a double nominee: “Mercy” with Big Sean, Pusha T and 2 Chainz and “Paris,” his collaborative effort with Jay-z (they bill themselves as The Throne.) “Paris” is the more popular of the two tunes and likely to win. Add to that the fact that West has appeared in two promos for the awardscast. Being featured in these ads boded well for Britney Spears who won three VMAs in 2009 as well as Taylor Swift who won Best Female Video in 2010 much to West's dismay. However, Nicki Minaj could play spoiler. She won this category last year for “Super Bass.” This year she contends for her collaboration with 2 Chainz on “Beez in the Trap” but that song does not have the same impact as last year's which was a huge hit.

Philadelphia — Jay-z's entrance said it all: He bounced up and down on top of the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, mimicking Rocky before he took the stage in front of nearly 50,000. His song "Made In America" played in the background.

Jay-z, like Rocky Balboa, has a rags-to-riches American dream story, and the 42-year-old entertainer – who grew up in the Brooklyn projects and released his debut album in 1996 – shared some of that through songs in his 90-minute set Saturday night at the Budweiser Made In America festival.

He entered from the back of the stage after running down the steps to perform "Public Service Announcement." That was followed with the night's first cameo: a prerecorded video with President Barack Obama.

Obama urged the crowd to vote this fall. He also said Jay-z's story is "what Made In America means" and added that he enjoys listening to the rapper's music on his iPod.
