The sci-fi short film “Helio” centers on a post-apocalyptic underground society where miners work for light to survive. When a dying rebel thrusts the unexpected into a unassuming worker’s lap, he attempts to break free from the dystopian government. In the process, he sparks a revolution of the people. “Helio” is the directorial debut from Teddy Cecil, who also wrote and produced the film.
